NOISE AND SHIT #8

It's quite some time since I was last surprised by the size or visual aspect of a zine... This one is so big I didn't understand what happened in the package: I unfolded, unfolded again, and again, and again... To see it appear as two big posters sized like eight A4 pages. It can be surprising, but take it as a big newspaper. It can be quite cool to read lying down on your bed, it's so big that you feel small (The first zine for giants) and could easily immerse in the pages...
Enough description, now we speak about the content: The interviews are generally quite long, done in a quite good way, and there's a longer one of Gene Palubicki (Angel Corpse/ Blasphemic Cruelty/ Perdition temple and others) who explains interesting things from the past and present of his bands.
There are also quite a lot of music reviews, but it's not so long and lacked of analysis (The style reminds me of some TALES OF THE MACABRE with a bit of SLAYER Mag), on the other hand there are also quite a lot of zine reviews which looked longer and more interesting. I appreciate the fact the editor says his opinion about the inspected matters, including positive and negative points.
This fanzine is clearly old school metal targeted, but it's not too die hard or collector-minded, which is cool as you can also read questions about "unmetal" subjects and there's some life inside (Not simply sterile worship).
The layout was computer made, it looks quite cool, nothing specially bad to say at this level.
To conclude, I'll say this is a very cool and quite interesting zine; The only things I'd improve are a part of the music reviews, and maybe I would advice him to inject a bit more varied or personal questions (Héhé) to make the reading even cooler.
The size of the zine could be a problem for some peoples, while others would find it great... Well, if you read zines in water closets only, it wouldn't totally unfold (Think about it Ah Ah).
