Auch für diese Split-CD hat
Nihilistic-Mastermind Gab mal wieder tief im Underground gewühlt und drei coole
Bands ausgegraben:
Den vielversprechenden Anfang
machen HELLSPAWN mit ihrem 2005er Demo. Musikalisch pendeln die
Polen irgendwo zwischen neueren BEHEMOTH (besonders gut zu hören beim Opener
"Hypocrisy") und MORBID ANGEL (diese standen eindeutig Pate beim Rausschmeißer
"Voices Of Damnation"), gesanglich dringen sie allerdings in (noch) tiefere
Regionen vor. Die Produktion geht ebenfalls in Ordnung und somit gibt es hier
fünf düstere, extreme Songs, die Appetit auf mehr machen. (9 Punkte)
Auch HATEFUL aus Italien
schlagen in die technisch-brutale Kerbe, allerdings ist ihr Todesblei etwas
thrashiger angehaucht und leider etwas dünner produziert. Laune machen die drei
Songs trotzdem. (8 Punkte)
Zum Abschluß präsentieren uns die
Franzosen IMPUREZA ihre zwei Demos (2005 + 2006) und gehen
etwas stumpfer, aber nicht minder heftig ans Werk. Tiefe, fette Gitarren,
abwechlunsgreiche Brutalo-Vocals und treibendes Drumming bestimmen das
Gesamtbild und auch für kleinere Experimente wie z.B. lässige Flamenco-Sounds
wird gesorgt. Beim 2005er Demo muss man noch einige Abstriche beim Sound machen,
aber ansonsten geht auch hier der Daumen nach oben. (8 Punkte)
Geht ruhig mal
auf Entdeckungstour bei Nihilistic Holocaust und zieht auch die Distro-Liste -
neben den eigenen Veröffentlichungen bietet Gab nämlich auch jede Menge
Underground-Zeug zu mehr als fairen Preisen an!

Tym razem Nihilistic Holocaust Assaults uraczyło nas schludnie wydanym CD-R`em z
kredową okładką - jest to split trzech kapel zatytułowany: ,,Tworzenia,
resurrezione, demence.". Na pierwszy ogień poszedł młodziutki stażem polski
HELLSPAWN, ze swojej demówki z `05. Tych pięć brutalnych i zarazem technicznych
numerów to zawartość tego zacnego demosa. Zespół ten jebł był mnie swoją muzą o
glebę. Niezwykle sprawnie odegrany kawał potężnego wyziewu dosłownie wgniata w
fotel. Energetyczne blasty, zadziorne riffy i niski growl połączone wspaniałym
brudnym, acz czytelnym soundem to iście zabójcza mikstura. Prze toto do przodu i
miażdży niczym syberyjski ekspres! Do tego dochodzą świetne solówki i dziwnie
pomajstrowane chwilami gitary. Czuć tu i VOIVOD, i MORBID ANGEL. Takie klimaty
to rzecz wspaniała! I jeszcze to słynne Selani Studio i jesteśmy w domu.
Produkcja naprawdę jest znakomita. I tak oto mamy kolejny wypasiony zespół
(słowo,,kolejny" może się tu wydać krzywdzące, ale zapewniam, że tych
,,kolejnych" nie ma wcale tak wielu!)! Zresztą z tego, co widzimy w skromnej jak
na razie biografii HELLSPAWN, muzycy tej grupy są już doświadczeni i po
przejściach w innych kapelach, zatem o jakość możemy być spokojni. Jest dobrze,
może być tylko lepiej! Mamy do czynienia ze sporą nadzieją polskiej sceny. Te
pięć utworów HELLSPAWN na splicie przetacza się jak death metalowe tornado, po
którym łapiemy kilka szybkich wdechów i już słuchamy HATEFUL. I tu również
zamiata nas z niszczycielską siłą tym razem dużo brudniejszy defior. Trzy
prezentowane przez Włochów kawałki miejscami sprawiają wrażenie zagranych
chaotycznie, ale po dłuższym przebywaniu w zasięgu tych dźwięków wiemy już, że
to sprawa specyficznego, mydlanego brzmienia. Brakuje tu ciężaru i tylko tego.
Poza tym jest to bezbłędna machina wojenna! Szkoda że tylko trzy numery tej
kapeli dane było tu zainstalować, bo chętnie posłuchałbym czegoś treściwszego w
ichnim wykonaniu. Końcowe sześć utworów należy do kapeli IMPUREZA. I tu
ciekawostka: grupa niby z Francji, a teksty po hiszpańsku? No ale jesteśmy
przecież w Unii Europejskiej, a połowa reprezentacji Francji w piłce kopanej to
Murzyni..., więc czemu nie? IMPUREZA to jednak poważniejsza sprawa na death`owym
poletku. Z niebywałą pasją plują tą swoją rzeźnią, bez żadnej precyzji czy coś,
ale z jasno sprecyzowanym celem: zabić! Takie pochody wprost uwielbiam - wolne,
miażdżące partie splecione z blastującymi łupaninami i jazdy na dwa wokale. To
porżnięte jest świetnymi solówkami i wywiera wręcz piekielne wrażenie! Choć
dziwnie brzmią te wstawki a'la flamenco... Poza tym mamy potęgę! Pełna
rekomendacja całego wydawnictwa!!!
BESTIAL
EXPERIENCE Webzine (Fra)
Encore une fois, Gab nous a déniché trois groupes excellents. Les polonais
d'HELLSPAWN, les italiens d'HATEFUL et le français d'IMPUREZA démontrent que le
brutal death peut être un genre diversifié. On commence avec les polonais qui
proposent cinq titres brutaux, influencés par MORBID ANGEL et cie. Les titres
sont variés et jamais on ne tombe dans la surenchère de blast, de technique.
HELLSPAWN va droit au but : nous défoncer la tronche. Les riffs heavy des
gratteux ont parfois un côté oriental pas désagréable. Derrière ça envoie la
sauce, que ce soit la basse ou la batterie. Emmené par un frontman efficace,
HELLSPAWN montre que les polonais savent faire de la bonne zique. A suivre !
Vient ensuite HATEFUL, combo rital qui évolue dans un brutal death plus
classique, mais de fort bonne facture. Le son est peut-être plus clair que celui
de leur compère, ce qui sied parfaitement à la brutalité proposée par le combo.
Le dernier groupe à l'honneur est certainement le meilleur des trois. IMPUREZA :
attendez-vous à entendre parler de ce groupe. A l'heure où de nombreux groupes
repompent éternellement les mêmes combos, les français osent innover. Du brutal
flamenco, voilà ce qu'ils proposent. En gros, c'est du death qui tache avec des
sonorités espagnoles. Une des particularités du groupe est l'utilisation du
chant espagnol. Si au début elles déconcertent, au fil des écoutes on ne peut
que les apprécier. On peut déceler chez IMPUREZA l'influence de NILE. Comme les
ricains, le niveau technique des français est énorme. Le solo d'entrée de "la
luz de la luna negra" vous le prouvera. En plus des quatre titres de la dernière
démo, Gab nous a gratifié de 3 titres de la première démo du groupe. Vraiment
cool ! En conclusion, si vous voulez du bon son pour pas cher (même pas le prix
d'un paquet de clopes !) jetez-vous sur ce split. Vous y découvrirez trois
groupes qui proposent leur conception du bon brutal death. Yann.

Support the killing of melodies! DEATH!
So knallt es
einem gleich um die Ohren wenn man das CD Cover aufschlägt. Und besser als die
Designer beim Label Nihilistic Holocaust hätte man den Kern der CD nicht
beschreiben können.
Das Label sagt von sich aus, dass es talentierte Bands
bekannt machen will und nicht auf Kommerz aus ist... Hört sich ja
vielversprechend an!
Genauso vielversprechend geht es dann auch los!
HELLSPAWN aus Polen sind mit fünf Liedern vertreten, die allesamt das Zeug dazu
haben, dir die Wirbelsäule neu zu formen. Schnell, böse und brutal! So muss
Old-School-Death Metal klingen. Das extrem tiefe Growlen, gepaart mit
hammerharten Riffs und einem Groove der direkt in den Arsch geht (nicht wörtlich
gemeint), lässt einem die Nackenhaare zu Berge stehen und weckt den unbändigen
Drang mit dem Kopf zu nicken und sich in die nächste Menschenmenge zu
schmeissen! Ich kann nur empfehlen sich die Demo CD (2005) von ihnen
anzuhören...
Die nächste Band HATEFUL kommt aus dem sonnigen Italien. Sie
machen ihre Sache gut, nur leider wird der gute Eindruck von einer etwas
schwachen Aufnahme beeinträchtigt. Ansonsten ein technisch anspruchsvoller Death
Metal der alten Schule mit eindeutigem Potential zu mehr. Was nicht abwertend
sein soll. Auch jetzt sind sie schon gut und prügeln einem die (hoffentlich
vorhandene) Seele aus dem Leib. Mit einer besseren Produktion wäre der Sound
garantiert mörderisch gut! Weiter so!
Die letzte Band der bisher sehr gut
zusammengestellten CD, IMPUREZA, darf ganze sieben Lieder für sich beanspruchen.
Auch sie spielen, welch Überraschung, Death Metal aber in ihrer Landessprache
Französisch! Die ersten vier Songs haben einen sehr eigenen Charakter und das
nicht nur wegen der Sprache. Unter gewaltigen, herunterprasselnden Riffs werden
Soli eingespielt, die die vorherrschende Stimmung komplett unterwandern. Am Ende
bleibt nur noch ein wirrer Haufen Melodien über, die durchzogen von einer recht
hohen Stimme (für Death Metal) doch wieder das Metalherz hören schlagen lassen.
Am einfachsten ist es, wenn ich das so Ausdrücke: Organisiertes Chaos! Aber
nicht schlecht...
Die letzten drei Stücke werden als Bonus deklariert. Nach
dem Hören weiß ich warum. Die Band vollzieht einen Stilwechsel und fügt
traditionelle Klänge mit einer akustischen Gitarre ein, die eher an spanischen
Flamenco erinnern. Sowas nenne ich eine gelungene Idee! Jeden Moment wartet man
auf den Flamencotänzer und dann kommt es: Der abrupte, böse Übergang zum
altgedienten Death Metal. Schade das sie in dieser Richtung nur so wenig
eingespielt haben.
Wer auf der Suche nach neuen guten Bands ist, hat an
dieser CD seine wahre Freude! 8/10

Mächtig was auf
die Mütze gibt es auf dieser 3-Way-Split-CD. G.S. vom französischen
Webzine Nihilistic Holocaust, das gleichzeitig als Do-It-Yourself-Label und
Undergrounddistro fungiert, betont in seinem Schreiben, dass er keinen Bock auf
gierige Distros und Profitgedöns hat, sondern einfach nur darauf, dass die Bands
publik werden. "Spread the news" quasi. Sehr cool zu sehen, dass es in der
Metalszene noch echte Fans gibt, denen Idealismus mehr bedeutet als Reibach -
und für die Musik nicht nur einfach ein Produkt ist.
Die ersten Fünf
Tracks liefern die Polen HELLSPAWN, die deutlich hörbar von MORBID ANGEL, HATE
ETERNAL, aber auch SUFFOCATION und BRUTALITY beeinflusst wurden, aber auch gerne
Brutal Death-Gemetzel zu hören scheinen. So brettert das gut produzierte
Gemetzel blastbeatgespickt und verbreakt daher, und lediglich der
eindimensionale Frontgrunzer der Osteuropäer dämpft marginal mein äußerst
anerkennendes, viertelstündiges Mitwippen zu diesen von ihrem 2005er Demo
entnommenen Songs. (4)
HATEFUL steuern drei Tracks ihrer ebenfalls 2005
erschienenen Promo bei. Die Italiener schlagen in eine ähnliche, komplexe Kerbe,
haben aber neben einer leichten Affinität zu Dissonanzen auch eine coole
TERRORIZER-Schlagseite. Die Vocals sind bei den Südländern weitaus variabler,
allerdings muss man beim höhenlastigen Sound ein paar Abstriche machen.
Musikalisch allerdings top! (4)
Nach nicht mal sechs Minuten geben die
Jungs an die Franzosen IMPUREZA ab, welche gleich zwei ihrer Demos auf diese
Knüppelscheibe gepackt haben. Die ausschließlich in spanischer Sprache
gegurgelten Songs atmen mehr den Spirit alter, einfacherer MORBID ANGEL und
KRISIUN. Abgesehen vom etwas mumpfigen Sound machen die Herrschaften eine
ebenfalls gute Figur, wenngleich das neuere Material von der 2006er Demoscheibe
etwas monotoner vor sich hinrumpelt - sieht man mal vom originellen
Flamenco-Intro zu "La Checa Del Perverso" ab, welches überflüssigerweise noch
mal in der 2005er Version vertreten ist. Schön krank psychopoltert der
Rausschmeißer "Enganifa Religiosa" drauf los, so dass der Prügelfetischist keine
Wünsche mehr offen hat. (4)
Qualitativ gibt es also von allen drei Bands
passables Undergroundgeschrote, welches Genrefans direkt bei Gab bestellen

Takie splity
po prostu lubie. Trzy zalogi rzucajace na pozarcie konkretne, smierc
metalowe miecho, kazda brzmi inaczej, material nie zlewa sie do
kupy i co chyba najwazniejsze, jest na czym ucho zawiesic. Na pierwszy
ogien idzie polski HELLSPAWN. Ich czesc to akurat material, który
mogliscie juz slyszec, bo w rzeczy samej jest to zawartosc demo
z 2005 roku. Zero kompromisów, jedziemy do przodu, im wiecej trupów
za plecami, tym lepiej. Brutalne grzanie w amerykanskim stylu –
co niektórzy slysza u nich BEHEMOTH'a, ale do mnie to jakos nie
dociera – najezone technicznymi smaczkami, cholernie intensywne
lojenie, z wbijajaca w glebe praca garowego. Sama perka jest troche
za bardzo z przodu, co bardziej marudnym moze troche przeszkadzac.
Ich stuff podcina gardlo na dzien dorby, a niedobitków przysypuje
ciezkie, przybrudzone i masywne brzmienie, bedace efektem posiedzenia
rodaków w Selani Studio. Bez kompromisów, bez chalturzenia, celnie
uderzajace, smierc metalowe zadlo. Warto poczekac na kolejne materialy
z ich logo, bo zapowiadaja sie co najmniej obiecujaco! Wlosi z HATEFUL
to juz troche inna szklanka herbaty i zarazem najwiekszy mieszaniec
stylistyczny na tej plytce. Ich muza to jak najbardziej death metal,
jak na moje ucho, czerpiacy ze spuscizny twórczej zarówno starego
kontynentu, jak i kapel zza wielkie kaluzy – odpowiednie predkosci
i haki na mieso wbijajace sie co chwila w ludzkie cialo. Sa riffy
i zagrania, kiedy mam nieodparte wrazenie, jakbym obcowal z dzwiekami
ASPHYX. Takie bardziej chropowate, szorstkie, majace w sobie ducha
starej szkoly granie. Ciezkie granie z brutalnymi riffami, blascikami,
nieustepliwie szturmujacymi wokalami, i zdawaloby sie nieskoordynowanymi
harmoniami, narzucajacymi jeszcze wieksze szalenstwo calosci. Jest
techniczna mlóca, jak i prostsze, ale ciagle celne uderzenia. Brzmienie
jest konkretne, troche chaotyczne, a same utwory, maja potezne argumenty
w postaci mocnych aranzy. Szkoda ze to tylko trzy pioseneczki z
ich strony, ale.... IMPUREZA to z kolei zespól w którym dzicz sciera
sie z bardziej wywarzonym, klimatycznym graniem. NILE – do nich
Francuzom najblizej. Podobny klimat, zblizony feeling i nie odbiegajace
drastycznie od amerykanskiej zalogi brzmienie. NILE to Egipt, a
IMPUREZA to flamenco. Dobrze Francuziki kombinuja, maja dobrze poukladane
pod kompozytorska kopulka, duzo smaczków, pikantnych zagran, pudla
zarzucajace patenty rodem ze wspomnianego flamenco. Wymiotujacy
wokal na dwa gardla, brutal death metalowa wscieklosc z grind'owymi
napadami furii tu i ówdzie. Jest lapiace za serducho mistyczne tak
bym to ujal echo, a jednoczesnie material fermentuje, gnije i troche
brudzi sadza. Brutal Death Metalowe Flamenco! Dobry „trzy lej”,
wart polecenia maniakom dzwieków smierci.
BRUTALISM

Nihilistic Holocaust from France is a DIY label/distro and releasing nice
stuff of unknown bands. So on this 3 way split you got three bands in the brutal
death metal area. Hellspawn is the opening band and there fast brutal death
contains nice guitarleads (great pluspoint), low vocals and double bass drums.
Tempo changes and breaks completing this 2005 demo. Hateful is the second band
and they are from Poland. They just play a bit faster with less deep sounding
vocals. Unfortunately no leads of the guitars, just fast songs with tempo
changes. The last band is a French band and they call themselves Impureza. They
sing in Spanish language but I guess it ain't about flosing your teeth. Blasting
furious guitarriffs over frequently changing melodies and tempos. Also cool are
the acoustic guitars you hear sometimes. Impureza has some good ideas. All
together this is a very nice split for brutal death metal fans. Go check it out.

This split Cd-r
contains three early works of these three Underground Death Metal
acts. The first third of this album belongs to the Polish Death
Metallers Hellspawn; this band, formed in 2003, have released a
single self titled demo in 2005 which was entirely included at this
split. This brutal quartet plays a relentless slab of Death Metal
with a great feeling and a semi technical performance somewhat reminiscent
to Morbid Angel, the music flows mostly at fast paced velocity,
where the double bass drums takes enormous weight, driven the whole
music while the tight riffing becomes an almost impenetrable wall
of mathematically calculated noise. Mariusz Konieczny growls like
a possessed demon, with his low vocal tone, delivering the most
primitive element of the equation. The production is pretty decent
with a somewhat saturated-at-background sound, which doesn’t bother
at all. Continuing the path of destruction Hateful comes, this band,
formed in Modena (Italy) back in 1997 (!) delivers here three previously
unreleased tracks (as far as I know… at least doesn’t appear at
their debut demo 2000 “After The Last Breath”) Their “third” is
the shortest one of the entire disc, with only three songs clocked
at five and a half minutes, their style could be labelled as fast
and Brutal Death Metal, with some evident Thrash references, which
is reflected in the quite sharpened riffing, the drum work
is absolutely fast and unmerciful, creating complex structures with
its unstoppable blast beat attack. The voices are also quite varied,
using a low growling tone as a base, but dealing perfectly with
the structures of the whole music. The production is considerably
poorer than the first “third” of the disc, with a lower mix and
a quite blurry sound. Closing this split album is Impureza; this
French band was formed in 2004 in Orleans and despite of their short
existence, delivers an intricate and highly original Death Metal,
their music is much more than Death Metal only, after the first
seconds of this final part of the split, bands such Nile or even
Avulsed will come to your mind, but after a while will note some
unusual structures and melodies; the band is highly influenced by
flamenco music (!) which is not only reflected in the clear acoustic
flamenco guitar interludes, but the whole music seems to be impregnated
by some exotic aura. This band embraces the fast unmerciful drum-based
velocities; the guitars work is completely amazing, the exotic riffing
definitely delineates the whole work. The vocals are also remarkable,
the dual vocal attack, merit of Lamas and Rafaelo, enormously contributes
with the whole brutal feeling of their work. The lyrics are also
an interesting detail, those are sung entirely in Spanish, a weird
detail considering the nationality of the band, but that perfectly
fits with the whole flamenco-inspired music. Besides of the language
they have also a good lyrical level. Impureza contributes here with
their two previously released demos; “Y Correra Tu Sangre” (demo
2005) and “Ruina De La Penitencia” (demo 2006). “Tworzenia, resurrezione,
démence” is a good work, especially recommendable for Death Metal
worshipers, but also for those who want to take a deep look into
the true Underground Metal…

Yeah, a 3 way split cd from Nihilistic Holocaust! with the following brutal
deathmetal bands, "Hellspawn" - "Hateful"and "Impureza".
3 bands who are all
playing different kinds of deathmetal and that's what makes this an nice disk.
Let's start with the first band on this album and that will be Hellspawn, they
have put on 5 fast and brutal tracks on this split album. And from track 1 to 5
is all some great shit. great oldschool riffs with newer deathmetal parts mixed
in their deathmetal, reminds me a bit of Shaarimoth - Current 11 cd. The first
band is worth listening to and should check them out!! Great fucking shit guys
can't wait to hear more from you in the future. Second band on this disk is
Hateful, and they have 3 songs of deathmetal on, it's completely different then
the first band Hellspawn. Their production is not superb but hell, it's fucking
underground what the hell did i expect. The guys from Hateful are damn good
musicians and know exactly what they are doing, same as the first band "great
fucking shit guys"!!! Third band who got 6 tracks on the splitCD is Impureza and
the first thing I saw is that they use the Spanish Languish for their lyrics. I
always love those kinds of vocals cause that sounds fucking aggressive to me,
like the first Asesino album hell fucking yeah. Great shit and I know why they
got 6 tracks on the disk, this is really high quality deathmetal with a lot of
cool parts. So this disk is something that can't be missed in your underground
cd collection. You can say that these are 3 high quality deathmetalbands in the
underground scene, a must for all you curious sicko's out there. Go to the

CHOKING
ON BILE Webzine (Hol)
Hellspawn klinkt zo Braziliaans als een carnavalssalsa in
Rio, maar blijkt uit Polen te komen. Op furieuze blastbeatlagers rolt deze aan
Rebaelliun, Nephasth, Abhorrence, Diabolic of vooruit ook een beetje Vader
herinnerende formatie voorbij, met een diepe brulstem, droge, zware en
duidelijke productie en de karakteristieke accoordenriffs inclusief flitsende
solo’s. De band speelt goed, zet een volle en gedegen sound neer die weinig aan
de huidige scene toevoegt maar er evenmin voor onderdoet.
Met maar drie nummers/vijf minuten vervult het Italiaanse
Hateful een beetje de rol van pauzemuziekje; maar het enthousiasme van de band
lijdt hier niet onder. Hun aanpak is een stuk rauwer en behoorlijk technisch; de
tempowisselingen en strakke overgangen vliegen je om de oren! In 1997 begonnen
als band met doom-invloeden is daar anno 2006 niets meer van terug te horen,
maar er is dan ook nog maar één oorspronkelijk bandlid over. Ondanks de
achterblijvende geluidskwaliteit maakt de band grote indruk: de volle, strakke,
drukke en snelle death metal is ijzersterk en zal door vergelijkingen met bands
als Odious Mortem of Decrepit Birth menig Unique Leader fan
aanspreken.
En weer is het een Franse band die ik minder sterk vind en
die deze release van de vijf sterren afhoudt. Impureza speelt een combinatie van
supersnelle death metal met wat vreemde intermezzo’s. Door de grote nadruk op
sfeer in de nummers en de laagheid in het geluid is dit met stip de meest
duistere band van de drie. Slepende en razende stukken worden af en toe
doorbroken met piepende of gierende gitaren, apart klinkende tussenstukken
(Arabisch, Spaans, alles komt voorbij) of korte rustige passages. De smerige
grunt maakt indruk en de knipogen naar Nile zijn allesbehalve storend, maar band
moet nog aan haar arrangementen werken. Niet verkeerd, maar ook niet overtuigend
genoeg. En de drie toegevoegde demonummers vormen een slechte afsluiting van een
verder uitstekende CD.
CHRONICLES
OF CHAOS Webzine (Usa)
Three demos, each coming from a different country, is what is on offer on this
appetizing slice of European subterranean death metal, presenting three
fledgling yet interesting bands released by the ever-underground label
Nihilistic Holocaust.
The Polish Hellspawn first hit it off with their abrasive slab of brutality
with a strong tinge of early Vital Remains. Technical riffage, "messy"
production and most importantly, convincingly aggressive. A better, cleaner
production could definitely benefit the band, since a number of parts sound
buried.
At arm's length from their split counterparts in terms of musical influences
and with only three songs on display, Hateful from Italy move within a more
varied rhythmical context, incorporating groovy parts in their sound. Both
promising bands indeed.
The French Impureza are the most interesting band of the three. Death metal
has not been a stranger to foreign elements, from incorporating oriental scales
to the usage of unorthodox instruments such as the Turkish saz and even the
Greek bouzouki, but this has not always been met with considerable success.
Impureza play a sort of Andalusian death metal with a subtle Nile slant where
they introduce interesting Latin rhythms into their song structures -- and
what's more, they sing in Spanish(!) although they are of French origin.
Self-admittedly, the band are big fans of the flamenco musical form, and even
more surprisingly it fits their sound quite well.
The underground has always been the cradle of new, innovative music and it's
always reinvigorating to watch fresh units, each with their personal sound
motif, rising up. 7/10

Aaaaah que voilà un bon split!!! La faute en incombe une fois de plus à
l'excellent label Nihilistic Holocaust, spécialiste quand il s'agit de creuser
dans le terreau fertile de l'Underground pour en extraire les meilleures gemmes.
Ici il s'agit de trois groupes de Brutal Death technique assez sombre, avouant
comme influnece commune Morbid Angel/Immolation/Incantation voire Nile. je vous
entends déjà d'ici : "Rha putain le Capri il va encore nous radoter que le Death
est mort en 92, que le technique le fait chier bla bla bla". Et bien non, car
ces trois groupes prouvent d'admirable manière que l'on peut jouer technique
sans recourir à la branlette de manches et être chiantissime (à l'instar
d'Immolation).
On démarre très fort avec 5 titres de la démo 2005 des
polonais d'Hellspawn. C'est très bien joué et avec conviction, mais c'est d'un
classicisme terrible. En clair, et comme 95% de la scène Death polonaise, on a
droit à un Death complètement typé Morbid Angel. Hellspawn fait toutefois moins
Copier/Coller que Behemoth, n'hésitant pas à proposer des solos plus typés Heavy
Metal. les titres sont lourds et sombres, ils s'enchaînent sans temps mort et
l'on ne retrouve pas la sensation un peu méprisante qui parfois s'échappe d'un
album de Behemoth ("peuh, la scène polonaise c'est MOI!!!"). Hellspawn ouvre
donc très bien le bal, mais pour s'imposer auprès des fans il lui faudra affiner
et développer plus fortement sa propre identité, de crainte de ne finir par être
qu'un clone de ses idoles, parmi la myriade actuellement en
activité.

C'est les italiens de Hateful qui continuent la percée,
mais ici c'est un peu moins bon. Hateful se concentre à fond sur l'aspect
brutal, parfois au détriment de la technique et de l'atmosphère. Ce n'est pas
mauvais, mais c'est très en dessous du niveau affiché par ses deux partenaires.
Les influences sont ici bien plus présentes que chez Hellspawn, au point d'en
être parfois un peu gènantes. Hateful est un jeune groupe qui semble avoir des
choses à dire, mais pour l'instant reste un peu écrasé par l'ombre de ses ainés.
Au final voilà trois titres sympathiques sans plus, qui font parfaitement le
lien entre Hellspawn et Impureza. Espèrons que les futures productions des
italiens feront preuve d'un peu plus d'identité et de maturité.

Le
bouquet final, ce n'est rien moins que 7 titres des orléanais d'Impureza, soit
la réédition intégrale de leurs deux démos. Et là, c'est carrément d'un autre
niveau. Si les trois derniers titres disposent d'un son moins bon, ils dénotent
toutefois déja une identité assez marquée. Car Impureza propose ici un Death
sombre et technique (comme ses petits copains) mixè à des rythmiques issues...du
Flamenco (vous avez bien lu). Passages accoustiques très rythmés, interludes
accoustiques aérant la musique, riffs saccadés et lourds, solos parfaitement
discernables, voix d'outre-tombe...Rajoutez dessus des textes en espagnol,
langue qui a démontré dans l'Underground sa capacité à la brutalité (Black avec
Morbosidad, Grind avec Machetazo, Death avec Impureza), et vous obtenez la
meilleure partie du split. Il n'y apas de problèmes, avec des titres aussi
réussis que "La Luz De La Luna Negra", Impureza s'impose sans problèmes comme
une très bonne alternative à Incantation/Immolation. Ce groupe mérite très
largement de trouver un label, et nul doute que leur prochaine production fera
très largement parler d'eux (en attendant vous pouvez toujours profiter des
titres disponibles sur leur Myspace, dans leur bio sur
CM).

Verdict final? Comme toujours avec Nihilistic Holocaust, la
présentation est superbe tout en étant purement Do It Yourself et à un prix
tellement dérisoire que c'en est une honte de ne pas voir ce split déja
sold-out. Alors...

Dalla vicina Francia mi arriva questo simpatico dischetto, uno split con tre
interessanti bands dedite al culto dei Morbid Angel & affini.
Si parte
con i polacchi Hellspawn, che si avvalgono di una registrazione più che buona,
trattandosi di pezzi estratti da un demo, anche se a volte le vocals tendono a
coprire il resto. Tutto rimanda agli angeli morbosi, come dicevo prima, vuoi per
le ritmiche alla Sandoval (con le dovute proporzioni), vuoi per le chitarre, sia
nel riffing che nei solos, in pieno stile Trey Azagthoth. Bello l’assalto sonoro
che apre "Legion", track piena di buoni riffs e di cambi di tempo. Inevitabili
anche richiami alle trame intricate degli ultimi due lavori dei seminali
connazionali Behemoth, ed una spruzzatina di Nile … sapete, per alleggerire la
proposta …
In "Antimary" (Titolone …l’Antimadonna! Lo dicono anche loro!!!)
sbucano nientemeno che i sempreverdi Incantation, tanto per ribadire, se ce ne
fosse bisogno, che gli Hellspawn offrono death metal puro ed incontaminato come
natura crea …
Stessa solfa per i modenesi Hateful, per loro la
registrazione e’ meno cupa, cosi’ come meno disumano il vocione. Anche per i
nostri connazionali death metal velocissimo e ben suonato, e personalmente e’ un
piacere potermi perdere dietro questi riffs massacranti e massacrati a loro
volta da un drumming incazzato nero! Eccellente "Piercing through shadows" con i
Suffocation a fare ciao con la manina sullo sfondo. Buona la scelta di proporre
pezzi sostanzialmente brevi, a tutto vantaggio dell’effetto bastonata in piena
fronte. Peccato ci presentino solo tre pezzi, ed allora quale scusa migliore per
approfondire la loro conoscenza?
Arriviamo cosi’ agli Impureza … e alla
loro strana scelta di cantare in spagnolo, proprio loro che vengono dalla
Francia, paese arcinoto per il forte nazionalismo dei suo abitanti … boh!
Con
la registrazione si torna al cupo andante, col triste risultato di
"batteria-che-scompare-e-tutto-si-impasta" nelle parti più veloci ... ma anche
per loro si tratta di un demo, chiudiamo il terzo occhio ... Danno l’impressione
di voler offrire un qualcosa di piu’ personale, i riffs in particolare hanno un
tocco arabeggiante abbastanza intrigante (come confermano i momenti di tregua
della tiratissima opener). "El predicator" si presente bella cervellotica e
complessa, con un’ultima parte spettacolare, con tanto di riffone da antologia
del death!
Stucchevole ripetere come anche nel loro caso le orecchie di Nile
e Morbid Angel fischino peggio dei palermitani quando vedono giocare Luca Toni
…
Avrete capito che aria tira da queste parti, diecimila cambi di tempo,
velocità supersoniche, rallentamenti solenni, doppia cassa a manetta, assoli
come cavalli impazziti, non manca nulla, perfino un’intro in pieno
Flamenco-style per "La checa del perverso" … e torna la curiosità sui motivi di
questo amore per la Spagna … o uno di loro sarà di quelle parti, o hanno
trombato tanto a Formentera … mah!
Le cose cambiano poco per quanto riguarda
le 3 bonus, anzi 2 visto che la suddetta Checa si ripete, del demo precedente …
" Y corre tu sangue" mi ricorda tantissimo "Padre nuestro" dei mitologici
Brujeria, figata!!!
Insomma, chi ama il death alla Morbid Angel &
affini (un’altra volta che lo scrivo mi sparo) e’ invitato alla festa, per gli
altri ci sono posti piu’ ricercati …

La nouvelle production estampillée Nihilistic Holocaust, affublée du titre
énigmatique de Tworzenia, Resurrazione, Démence, regroupe trois
formations qui ont pour point commun de marquer un attachement sans faille au
death metal le plus sombre qui soit...
Les hostilités démarrent avec les
Polonais de Hellspawn. Guitares caverneuses, vocaux d’outre-tombe, l’auditeur
est vite transporté dans l’ambiance obscure et suffocante qui régnait sur le
premier Incantation, on songe également à Morbid Angel, voire même au death
metal apocalyptique brésilien à la Krisiun et Abhorrence. Le rythme est véloce,
la batterie blaste à tout va, la construction des titres se révèle quant à elle
relativement linéaire malgré la présence de soli, on aurait peut-être aimé
davantage de variations de tempo, d’autant plus que les quelques passages plus
lourds sont accrocheurs (Legion, Velvet Sashes of Voices). Les
riffs se sont pas tous forcément inoubliables cependant, il se dégage des
morceaux une sensation de noirceur et au final, ces derniers constituent une
bonne entrée en matière dans ce split et donnent le ton juste.
Le carnage
continue avec Hateful, un trio italien qui évolue dans une veine toujours aussi
vieille école mais agrémentée de discrètes touches thrash. Malheureusement, le
groupe est désavantagé par un son aigrelet et quasiment dépourvu de basses qui
dénote furieusement avec les deux autres productions de ce disque, autrement
plus massives. En outre, les compositions s’avèrent assez moyennes et ne
compensent pas vraiment ce handicap : la batterie brute s’accorde plutôt mal
avec les guitares qui, elles, manquent de consistance. Les titres ne décollent
jamais réellement et souffrent d’une trop grande linéarité. Bon point, ces
derniers sont courts et peu nombreux donc on peut passer assez vite et sans
regret au groupe suivant...
Et l’on avait raison car le meilleur restait
à venir avec Impureza qui va se montrer incontestablement comme la grosse baffe
de ce split ! Leurs morceaux complexes s’articulent autour de guitares
techniques, d’un son gras et massif qui témoignent de la très forte influence de
Nile et dans une moindre mesure d’Immolation. Mais la patte personnelle du combo
réside dans sa "Spanish Touch" : passages flamenco, vocaux en espagnol, le
groupe a soigné ses effets qui au demeurant n’apparaissent pas comme un gadget
artificiel et apportent une vraie touche originale. La formation française
réussit ainsi le tour de force de proposer des compos à la fois riches en
changements de riffs et ruptures de rythme, tout en ne négligeant pas le côté
accrocheur de sa musique, on pense par exemple au refrain imparable de El
Predicator. Et puis surtout, elle parvient à élaborer une atmosphère sombre,
organique, les guitares lourdes à souhait et les vocaux gutturaux alimentant
cette impression. On notera par ailleurs la présence de trois anciens titres en
bonus caractérisés par un aboutissement moindre mais qui portent déjà les
prémices de ce que donnera la démo suivante.
Sans appel, Tworzenia,
Resurrazione, Démence s’affirme comme l’une des releases les plus
convaincantes du label Nihilistic Holocaust, véritable maelström de death metal
ténébreux qui aura permis de révéler Impureza, probablement voué à l’avenir à
imposer son nom sur la scène death française.

What a great split! 3 killing bands
and more than 45 minutes of pure holocaust!!! Hellspawn (Pol) starts
it all with a clear school based on Morbid Angel and stuff . With
killer riffs, their guitar work gives the necessary degree of brutality.
They delight us with 5 cuts taken from their demo '05 .
Then
comes Hateful (Italy), they play a speeder death metal with a lots
of tempo changes. They just included 3 songs from their promo '05,
3 very short songs with a 2 minutes media, so they pass almost unnoticed.
They should include more songs.
At the end we find Impureza
(Fra), surely with some Spanish members since all their songs are
in this language, if that's atypical, you'll become even more estranged
when you listen flamenco parts between the songs. At least they
do an excellent mix, something strange among the numerous bands
trying to do some fusion metal with other styles. There're 7 songs
from their demos '05 and '06, each one with perfect performance.
All these bands show us good works, as in its sound and performance.
Get it and you'll be not disappointed.

Three
obscure death metal bands from Europe inside : Hellspawn comes from Poland,
Hateful from Italy and Impureza from France. Each of these bands plays brutal
metal with differents influences such as Morbid Angel, Gorefest, Suffocation and
Nile. Impureza comes with flamenco and Deicide as the leading influence and all
the spiritual subjects inspire them. This mix is quite pleasant and original.
Also all the lyrics are in Spanish langage. Nice for a French band ! Very
interesting because they do it to perfection. I didn’t begin this review with
the first band of this stuff. So, here I go : Hellspawn is not the fictitious
creature that you could imagine from the popular comik book Spawn but a typical
brutal death metal band with a lot of breaks and tempo changes. When Morbid
Angel comes back on the first track of this opus, you can be sure that you are
listening to Hellspawn. Great lead guitars inside even if it is not very new
with this kind of music. And what about Hateful, the second band of this opus ?
Well, they do likewise and a bit faster than Hellspawn without lead guitars but
with thrash influences. It reminds of old Immolation or even Sadus sometimes.
Maybe not the better sound on this stuff but yet efficient. All of these bands
chose very typical deep vocals and powerful music without any compromise. It is
usual when you listen to brutal death metal of course but quite enough to make
an opinion. I didn’t know them before and I was not disappointed especially with
Impureza. They should become very stronger with their next releases. Thus, this
stuff has an big interest with this band. The other bands are more conventional.

CONQUEST Webzine (Usa)
The opening band of this rampagin' cavalcade is
Polish band Hellspawn, who play
cleverly crafted Death Metal with plenty of effective, flowin' structures,
precise ‘n' unambiguous changes and lovely slamular chug patterns. The hoarse,
diaphragmal vokill rumble complements the macabre atmosphere achieved by the
songs delightfully, adding further menacing properties to the songs. There is
more emphasis upon rudimentary yet efficient and memorable riffery than
elaborate phrases and convoluted arrangements, alternating between monolithic
chugulence and liberal use of limber runs ‘n' scales, setting aside the
technical edge for the strategically situated solo-string squall. Although the
rhythm section does add many an invaluable anvil to the intensity of the
recording, the drumwork itself tends to be rather trite, with limited variety
and creativity, relying instead on stuttery blasting and repetitive double-kick
thuddery. Of course, this small flaw-barb inflicts only a minor graze upon the
lithe-song flow and the surgin' groove remains unbroken throughout.
Hellspawn
clearly display a strong fondness of the post-
‘Covenant' part of the Morbid Angel
back-catalogue, often taking direct cue from the more honest ‘n' straightforward
writings of Azagthoth and friends, borrowing armfuls of blunt ‘n' hulkin'
rhythms from ‘Domination', also subjecting us to savage,
Neanderthal cudgellings comparable to that of ‘Heretic'.
Elsewhere on their recording, the band sound slightly akin to old Vital Remains with a discernible Immolation intonation, along with a few
similarities to more recent acts such as Burial and Caustic. Vokilly, the band utilise the same
husky gutturals as Pillard-era Incantation, sang with an oesophagus that
has clearly contracted a laryngeal virus from Will Rahmer.
I daresay Hellspawn could be categorised as MOR Death
Metal, or perhaps Pub Death Metal. Firmly rooted at the heavy, juddering
midpoint of the spectrum, any shuffles toward the adjacent broootal ‘n'
technical side or the grand ‘n' melodious far-end deemed unnecessary. Indeed,
such diversions may've weakened the undeniable charm of the demo. In summary,
the Hellspawn pub lunch is palatable,
enjoyable ‘n' memorable!
Next, a fleeting appearance from Italian
act Hateful gives them ample time to
demonstrate their canny Death Metal dexterity. Fortunately, the predominantly
technical songs are skilfully woven, and their meticulous performance results in
a remarkably robust release. The guitars are subject to a lot of frenetic
fretboard frolics, veering adroitly from catchy riff-knot rapidity and pithy,
pummelling progressions to deep ‘n' indelible boot-print breaks. To avoid any
undesirable meandering, all the musicians perform their key ideas with cohesion
‘n' conviction, thus staying well within the kernel of each song. The gelment of
each movement is also facilitated by the succulent bass-end and the fastidiously
constructed drum-patterns, adding vital depth and solidity to the ambitious
compositions. In terms of vokills, the lyrical matter is dispatched via hostile,
tunnel-mouthed gutturals, performed at a scratchy edged mid-pitch most of the
time. While the band clearly pursues a Brootal/Technical Death Metal sound, they
also infuse their songs with a muscular, Thrash-driven spirit to help retain
their forceful momentum and keep the energy nice ‘n' constant.
There's a distinct essence of Suffocation in way the rugged, Thrashy
foundations are ransacked by the extreme accelerations in tempo, lavish
technical edge, cutting melodic derision and a brazen flouting of the primary
song-stimulus itself. The thick ‘n' threatening feel and the premium
musicianship with which it is mustered remind me of Deeds of Flesh, effortlessly creating that
portentous atmosphere of loomin' catastrophe. However, a few palpable threads of
Dying Fetus have been plaited in,
thus balancing out the hue of the blackened fabric with an almost pit-friendly
liveliness. The vokills consist of abrasive exhalations with the raucous, chalky
bite of George ‘Corpsegrinder' Fisher, the raspin' wheeze recalling someone like
Sepsism or Mangled.
The trio o' tracks have been produced to a good
level of clarity to ensure compelling heaviness without misplacing any of the
numerous intricacies. Although the songs instigate an urgent, claustrophobic
atmosphere, the thoughtful production does well to enhance their overall depth,
breadth ‘n' warmth! Excellent technical stuff.
An inventive ‘n' intrepid set of technical
mini-epics from Impureza rounds off
this split album shindig then, involving a lot of labyrinthine arrangements and
bold ideas, the result being an idiosyncratic brand of progressive Broootal
Death Metal. Nimble digits gambol over threadbare frets with aplomb, fashioning
some rather convoluted tunes, shifting swiftly between gut-excoriating low-end
riff churnery, high-speed scale entanglement and gleamin' melodic segues of
acoustic sparkle. Well-planned ‘n' rehearsed drumwork adds enough muscle to the
juttin', intertwined frameworks to plumpify them, but without distracting
listener attention with any braggadocious drum-skin maltreatment. The use of
flamenco guitar during the melodic interludes is perhaps one of the most
striking elements of Impureza. These
twangly departures complement the ragin' bluster perfectly, creating lovely
lilitin' lulls afore callously pressin' em flat again with sudden blastulative
bombardment, the intensity of which is enhanced wonderfully by the contrast
‘tween the pair o' textures. The lyrics are recited with tangible venom,
sometimes developing the lines into rancourous mantras. The vokills vary from
clammy, slobberin' gutturals to vigorous, jaw-flappin' bellows, also adding an
expressive, glottal edge to create a bit of a Black/Death feel. The rapid riff
contortions often give way to extremely prominent, lurchin' rhythm that acts as
an apex to the song itself, the furious delivery usually accentuated by a
forceful vokill outburst.
The inescapable recurring rumble, cavernous
atmospheric murk and some of the vokills recall classick Fleshcrawl, while the motivated, forward
thinkin' attitude ‘n' focussed innovations remind me of someone like Skinless or Nile. The acoustic segues bring an early
Broken Hope album to mind, having the
same emphasis on offering melodic respite amid the burgeoning bludgeonment,
taking a more thoughtful approach to interlacing the two.
I think the Impureza tracks have greater diversity and
lasting appeal than those of Hellspawn
‘n' Hateful, with the ability
to pull off the respective simplicity ‘n' technicality of their split-mates,
applying it with a more measured, thoughtful method in order to create a choice,
multi-dimensional work.
A marvellous split!

First off I want talk about Hellspawn, this polish Death Metal band
has a good structure in arranging their music and I think these polish combined
a little more old school Death Metal elements mixed in with their orginality,
when I catch their melody parts and their pummeling drums like a missile, it
directly made me remember to Hate Eternal, Hellspawn presents 5 songs and this
is made me want to hear more. Second up is Hateful, honestly when I heard this italian
creations, it reminds me to Polish Death Metal veterans Vader but their sound
very far differ, unfortunately this Italian sounds so thin, the music doesn't
sound quite as Vader as it probably should, at least if Hateful has a heavy
parts on double kick and guitar, it would be awful but it's unfair if I say they
sound must be like the aforementioned band, they have own style and originality
sound. Next is French Impureza, they had
good sound enough and interesting music arrangement, I'm surprise when I found
the intsrumentaion of this twice tracks 'La Checa Del Perverso' (from demo 2005
and 2006), they bring death metal style mixed with thrash and even Black Metal I
guess, and this is good combination even there has a bit different
instrumentation. Well, I think the band creates symphonic harmonies, closer
inspection reveals melodic structure and the overall effort is fat and powerful.
I need to know more another bands like this from france. I would not say if
Impureza is a great but they try to create some interesting music.

Este CD
se trata de un compartido promocional, en formato CD-R , con estas tres bandas
de Death Metal, que la verdad sea dicha, no tienen desperdicio. Comenzamos con
los polacos Hellspawn, los cuales tocan un Death metal extremo y brutal, con
algunos parecidos a bandas polacas como Behemoth o Hate, pero mucho mas brutales
que estas. Su estilo parece mezclar el sonido polaco, con el de las bandas de
Brutal Death americanas, por lo que su música es demoledora, batería a todo
trapo sin cesar, y guitarras contundentes, y una voz brutal.. Los 5 temas que
aquí aparecen temas están extraídos de de su demo del 2005. Seguimos ahora con
los italianos Hateful de quien tan solo aparecen 3 temas, también de su demo del
2005, y he de reconocer que han sido los que mas me han gustado. Aunque su
producción es mas floja que la de sus compañeros Hellspawn, su estilo es un
Death menos brutal y mas técnico, que en ocasiones me recuerdan a Suffocation.
Death metal bien hecho y bien ejecutado, en el que hay tanto medios tiempos
rompecuellos, como rápidos blast beats, que hacen su estilo mas variado y
técnico. Y ya para terminar, llega el turno de los franceses Impureza, con 7
temas (aunque uno de ellos es el mismo en 2 grabaciones diferentes) extraídos de
sus demos del 2005 y 2006. Lo mas curioso de esta banda, es que siendo
franceses, cantan en español, haciendo que en ocasiones, con su registro vocal,
me recuerde a las partes mas Death metaleras del raza odiada de Brujería, aunque
el parecido con estes se ciñe solo al idioma y el registro vocal, pues hablamos
de una banda que practican un Death Metal extremo, aunque con algún que otro
riff Thrashmetalero en las guitarras. Su música es muy oscura y agresiva, y
bastante variada, por lo que no sabría con quien compararles (buen punto a su
favor). Realmente al no ser muchos temas de cada banda, no da para extenderse
mucho sobre ellas, pero si os gusta este estilo, os recomiendo que os hagáis con
el material que tienen por separado, porque alguna de ellas posiblemente os
sorprenderá.

Underground death metal gruplarina verdigi destekle(?) taninan Fransiz firma
Nihilistic Holocaust’tan 2006 da çikan bu splitte 3 grup bulunmakta. Yalniz
belirtmeliyim ki gruplarin bu splitte bulunan sarkilari zaten kendi demolarinda
da var, yani split için yeni sarkilar yapmak yerine demolarini tek bir cd de
toplamislar. Albüm kapagindaki siyah-beyaz resmedilmis daldaki kurumus
yapraklara bir anlam veremesem de çokta önemli bir ayrinti sayilmaz. Tek tek
gruplar ve müziklerine gelirsek;
Hellspawn 2003’te kurulmus Polonyali bir
death metal grubu. 2005’te çikarttiklari ilk ve tek demolarindaki yaklasik 15
dakika süren bes sarki bu splitte yer aliyor. Emin degilim ama saniyorum grup
ismini Morbid Angel’in sarkisi olan Hellspawn’dan almis zira dinlerseniz sizde
göreceksiniz gerek gitar rifflerinin gerekse davullarin ne denli Morbid Angel’a
benzedigini, tabi vokaller çok daha sert. Yer yer black etkileride hissedilen
parçalar orijinaliteden yoksun olsa da kesinlikle insani sariyor. Basarili
müzisyenler, temiz bir kayit, hayran kaldigim brutal vokal benim bu grubu
sevmeme yetti.
Hateful ise 1997 yilinda Italya’da kurulmus olan bir
brutal death metal grubu. 2000’de çikardiklari demoda bulunan dört parçadan üçü
bu splite dahil edilmis. Bu üç sarkinin toplami 5.30 dk. olmasina ragmen grup
hakkinda fikir sahibi olmamiza yetiyor. Benim en dikkatimi çeken bir çok vokal
tarzinin kullanilmis olmasi ve baterist Marcello Malagoli’nin takdire sayan
performansiydi. Splitteki en sert ve hizli grup oldugunu da söylemeden
geçmeyelim. 9 sene önce kurulan böyle bir grubun sadece dört sarkisinin olmasi
beni sasirtsa da umuyorum ki önümüzdeki günlerde yeni parçalarla karsimiza
çikarlar.
Impureza, splitteki en orijinal sounda sahip grup. 2004 yilinda
Fransada kurulan grubun üyeleri Ispanyol kökenli, zaten sarki sözleride
Ispanyolca.(ki ben Ispanyolca’yi death metale çok yakistiriyorum) Üstelik brutal
death/grind diye adlandirabilecegimiz müziklerini flamenco ezgileriyle
süslemisler. Splitte toplam 25 dakika süren 7 sarkilari bulunuyor. Orijinal
seylerle ilgilenenlerin bu grubu seviceklerinden süphem yok, gerçi aralarda
klasik gitarlar ve flamenco ezgileri olmasa bazen biraz fazla Nile’i andiriyor
grup :)

Pour vous qui supportez l’Underground, il y a toujours
une bonne adresse, c’est celle de Gab de Nihilistic Holocaust Distro. Pour ce
qui est de dénicher de bons groupes et de les proposer à l’ancienne, il est
vraiment très fort. Ici, il s’agit d’un 3-ways split avec HELLSPAWN, HATEFUL et
IMPUREZA. Que du brutal venant respectivement de Pologne, d’Italie et de France
pour qui le slogan à l’intérieur de livret colle parfaitement : « support the
killing of melody ». Pas de tendresse ici, HELLSPAWN en donne une vision
parfaite d’entrée de jeu avec une brutalité toute polonaise. Ce combo, tout
jeune, a à son actif une démo datée de l’an dernier que l’on retrouve dans son
intégralité sur ce split. Du gros brutal death façon NILE, cinq titres très
homogène pour une leçon de compression de neurones en bonne et due forme. Une
bonne prod et des compos un peu linéaires mais qui recèlent quelques très bon
moments. En tout cas, du lourd comme on sait en faire par là bas (YATTERING,
VADER, BEHEMOTH dans un autre style…). Direction l’Italie maintenant avec
HATEFUL qui offre ici trois nouveaux titres, après une première démo
autoproduite sortie en 2000 (« After The Last Breath »). On a affaire ici à un
duo, composé d’un batteur et d’un « homme à tout faire » (guitariste, bassiste,
chanteur) suite au départ de quelques membres alors que le groupe semblait
évoluer dans un registre plus doom/death à ses débuts (1997). Le son est
beaucoup plus propre que pour les polonais qui précédaient, la musique un peu
moins brutale au profit d’un death metal plus lisible mais moins impressionnant.
Ca dépend évidemment ce qu’on cherche mais malgré tout HATEFUL marque moins les
esprits et bien que délivrant une énergie indéniable sur les trois titres, leur
death metal a un petit peu l’air poussiéreux. Retour au chaos avec les orléanais
d’IMPUREZA qui proposent ici leur démo 2006 agrémentée de trois morceaux tirés
de la démo 2005. Tout est en espagnol, ce qui ne manquera pas d’apporter un
petit sourire de satisfaction aux amateurs de groupes comme BRUJERIA (sur « Las
Colinas de Los Crucificado Sin Cabezas ») tant le groove apporté par cette
langue colle bien aux musique brutales et extrêmes. Les titres sonnent très
malsains et la batterie rapide mais discrète me rappelle un peu un autre groupe
français, KRONOS. Technique, MORBID ANGELien, carré, et sans concession.
Probablement la meilleure partie de ce split de fort bonne qualité globale…
D’autant plus que les incursions stylistiques sous forme de surprise (l’intro de
« La Checa Del Perverso ») ne gâchent rien.
Amateurs de brutalité à faire
peur aux enfants de chœur, voilà un split qui vous permettra de découvrir trois
jeunes groupes dont la brutalité rime avec malsanité, et d’un petit tour rapide
de l’Europe (OK, il manque pas mal de pays, mais chacun son tour hein !) on a
droit à une dose de brutal death tantôt old school et lourd, tantôt plus actuel
mais rudement efficace. A trouver chez Nihilistic Holocaust Distro !

Nackenbrecher hier
auf mich einprasseln werden .Jawohl ,ohne großes Geklimper geht’s auch sofort in
Richtung „
die volle Kelle“.
Den
Auftakt des munteren Reigens bestreiten die Polen von „Hellspawn“. Und die zeigen von Beginn
an
,das Polen wohl zu dem absoluten Zentrum der gehobenen Ballermucke zählt .Fette Death Metal
Klänge paaren sich hierbei mit gorehaften Gegrowle
,so
das sich die Matte sofort in Bewegung setztenkann
.Vor allen die Doublebass Salven erzielen hierbei absolut tödliche Treffer .Geradlinig ,auf
totale Vernichtung ausgerichtet ,zieht man durch 5
Stücke seine blutigen Bahnen. Trotz des auf totale
Vernichtung ausgerichteten Sounds werkelt man
noch ganz
schön mit den Gitarren rum .Hat mich komplett überzeugt – absolut top .
„Hateful“ aus dem
Pizzastaate Italien hingegen klingen etwas lascher ,was vielleicht auch an
den Aufnahmen liegen könnte .Kommt verdammt
blechern und ohne Druck rüber ! Musikalisch
knöpft man
sich hier auch den Death Metal vor ,dies aber doch
etwas technischer und auch recht typisch .So unbedingt viel in punkto Wiedererkennungswert
gibt’s nicht .Beim Gitarrenspiel zeigt man sich ja noch
recht vielseitig ,aber so richtig wollen mir - besonderst
die
leichten Solis – wirklich nicht gefallen. Man setzt
bei . den 3 Stücken
zwar auch auf Tempowechsel ,aber die
Initialzündung konnte man da bei mir trotzdem
nicht erzielen .Eher Durchschnitt
!
Zu guter letzt
prügeln sich noch die Franzosen „Impureza“ durch die Gehörgänge .
Und die
präsentieren
sich noch etwas anders .Streckenweise klingts hier verdammt „Morbid Angel“ mäßig und
an nderer Stelle geht’s dann wiederum mehr in
Richtung
Amiland . Für mich klingts ganz interessant , zumal man sich hier wohl auch der spanischen Sprache
bedient .Mal ballerts und rumpelts an allen Ecken ,dann zieht’s sich’s wieder eher fett
zähflüssig dahin um dann
wiederum in ein gewaltiges Inferno auszubrechen
.Ganz gut hierbei machen sich auch die leichten ,an
Spanien erinnernden Rhythmen ,die zum Anfang
einiger der 7 Stücke gesetzt wurden. Alles in allem ne geile
Mucke ,die man nicht von der Hand weisen kann
.

AETERNUS Zine (Fra)
Nouvelle production
nihilistique en provenance de la machine infernale DIY de la Francia,
principal contributeur au génocide de mélodies. HELLSPAWN est un
descendant de MORBID ANGEL, et en bon patriote, les polaks tirent
aussi sur les racines nationales, ainsi HELLSPAWN a quelques atomes
crochus avec le LOSTSOUL du pays, ou plus simplement avec VADER.
Bref du DM purement et simplement. Une bonne occasion de réhabiliter
sur cette compilation la première demo de 2005. Le résultat est
convaincant sur les premiers morceaux puis s’essouffle au fur et
à mesure, néanmoins de bons solos, des rythmiques solides par endroit,
c’est pas encore le banco donc faudra continuer à gratter. HATEFUL
a été sensible au sex-appeal du plombier polonais, nouvelle trouvaille
de l’office du tourisme. L’inspiration vacille du côté de DECAPITATED,
saoul comme des polonais au moment du passage à l’acte, les italiens
n’ont pas réussi à s’en inspirer complètement. Je dois dire que
comme HELLSPAWN, HATEFUL a des solides arguments, ça ne manque pas
de sensationnel, pas nécessairement d’efficacité, un peu trop classique
à mon goût, surtout que les trois morceaux durent à peine 2 minutes
à chaque fois. Deux groupes à surveiller néanmoins. Quant à IMPUREZA,
les deux demos de ce fabuleux mélange de Flamenco et de Brutal Death
sont présentés dans ce numéro et le précédent. Je vous y convie.

вот опять сплит, на этот раз французской конторы Nihilistic Holocoust, которая
специализируется на европейском дэз-метале. Первыми на диске предстали поляки
Hellspawn,уже достаточно известная в андерграунде команда. Вот ответьте мне на
вопрос:"Почему наши соседи столь богаты на классные дэзовые группы?". Может, их
выращивают, как овощи, в особых тепличных условиях? Или умение играть метал у
них в крови с рождения? Так что и в этот раз польская банда не разочаровала.
Классная музыка, отличный низкий гроулинг вокалиста, скорость, техника, все на
своем месте у Hellspawn. Итальянцы Hateful предоставили всего лишь три короткие
вещицы на данный сплит, посему достаточно сложно дать оценку группе. Ну в
общем-то не так круто как Hellspawn, но тоже ничего. Быстрые риффы а-ля Vader и
техничные барабанные сбивки прийдутся по вкусу любителям олдскульного death'a.
М-да, первые две банды настроили меня на весьма оптимистичный лад и убедили в
том, что качество материала на некоторых сплитах не самых мощных лейблов может
соперничать с полноформатными релизами уже достаточно матерых групп. Закрывают
диск французы Impureza, использующие лишь испанский язык в своей музыке.
Оригинально, правда? А на самом деле качественный и мощный музон, требующий чуть
более лучшей записи, чем она есть на диске. Но это не беда, уверен, на концертах
они дают фору многим другим командам, благо песни, хоть и техничны, но тем не
менее легко запоминаются.

Opening this split album, Polish Hellspawn proove their country is a real nest
for top quality intense death metal bands. Heavily influenced by (old) Morbid
Angel for their catchy technical riffing and solos, the band also add blasts
(bands such as Krisiun, Rebealliun,…) and low and obscure growls. I can’t find
anything bad in the five songs on offer here, it’s simply huge !
It needs a
few seconds to get accustomed to Hateful’ sound, not that it’s particularly bad
production-wise, but Hellspawn is so massive, it’s hard to listen to something
else afterwards. The Italians have come with three tracks of traditional death
metal with old-school singing and numerous rhythm changes. Most impressive here,
is the drum work that simply is outstanding, benefiting from an incredible
versatility… I’m not just impressed, I’m fascinated ! Hard to focus on the songs
with such an amazing drumwork !
For some reason, French Impureza seem to sing
in spanish which has never been a problem in Metal, at least for me. Once again,
this band is a nice surprise. Dark and brutal, those freaks, have the privilege
of offering 7 songs mixing old-school and current brutal death metal influences,
ultra fast with some mid-paced breaks, quite a lot of great riffs, and pretty
decent vocals. Sound is good yet a bit muffled in one way, but no big
deal.
Three very interesting bands, Hateful being slightly less impressive
except for their drum work. Check ‘em out

Ah ! Après un 4 way split et une réédit' de la démo de Black Bleeding pas
folichonne, Nihilistic Holocaust retrouve un excellent niveau avec ce split
présentant les trois poètes que sont Hellspawn, Hateful et Impureza. Ici, pas la
peine de tergiverser cinquantes années : il s'agit de brutal death, qui plus est
du bon. Hellspawn se montre le plus classique des trois groupe avec son death
metal très typé américain, avec son batteur aux blasts épileptiques et riffs qui
ne sont pas sans rappeler un vieux Hate Eternal. L'ensemble se montre bien
fignolé, les titres passent bien, mais on attend toujours ce break qui va tuer
ou tout simplement cette sensation de brutalité qui pêche un peu... Bon, mais
sans l'étincelle quoi. Pour Hateful, le niveau monte encore. Dès "Ravenous", le
ton est donné, gros blast qu'on sent tout de suite plus old school, chant death
traditionnel qu'on imagine sans peine aller fouiner du côté du hardcore. Le
groupe propoise l'interprétation la plus énervée des trois présents ici, avec ce
côté vieille école très attachant. On pense immédiatement à des groupes comme
Internal Bleeding, et très franchement, contrairement au groupe précédent, ici
la brutalité on l'a, et en pleine gueule ! Des riffs inspirés, des changements
de rythmes nombreux sans verser dans la surenchère. Allez hop trois morceaux de
deux minutes et c'est bâché ! Tant mieux, ca nous fera 6 morceaux de Impureza.
Car ces français qui sortent un peu d enulle part proposent là une musique super
maîtrisée, peut-être pas au niveau des commentaires dythirambiques que j'ai pu
lire à son égard, mais qui a le mérite de se placer nettement au dessus du
marasme death metal underground dans lequel bon nombres de groupes se
complaisent. Avec "La luz de la luna negra" on comprend vite que le groupe est
là pour apporter quelque chose. Une influence Nile très nette, des textes en
espagnols et surtout des passages acoustiques types flamenco très surprenants
mais globalement bien amenés. On en aurait d'ailleurs aimé en entendre plus !
Car pour le reste impureza reste certes efficace, mais très classique, avec les
blasts marteau piqueurs qui ne s'arrêtent jamais, les ralentissements bien
lourds et surtout l'ambiance souffrée (merci la prod', claire et puissante bien
qu'un peu étouffée). Un groupe qui a intérêt à creuser son concept, et à quitter
ses influences Nile trop présentes encore. Un morceau comme "La checa del
perverso" montre d'ailleurs parfaitement ce dont le groupe est capable : brutal,
super sombre, et créatif avec sa rythmique centrale décharnée... Bref, très bon
split il faut bien l'avouer, trois découvertes intéressantes, notamment bien
évidemment Impureza qu'il va désormais falloir suivre de près... 4/6.

oko 45 minuta brutalnog death metal przenja, a prvi su poljaci HELLSPAWN.
guturalni death metal, ali pomalo osjetim i black dodir, mada je ovo ipak blast
beat brutala, tehnicka, na momente i progresivna, ali bez trunke spustanja
atmosfere. s obzirom da ja nisam nesto duboko u metal strani grinda, ipak dobri.
iza njih, talijanski HATRED, takodjer brutalni ultrabrzi death metal, ful
tehnicki, ali srecom za mene, vrlo agresivan, i sa zestokim, neusecerenim
melodijama. energicno, i opet dobro. posljednji na disku su francuski IMPUREZA,
isti stil kao i ostali, mracno, brutalno, tehnicki, dakle kontrolirani kaos.
posebnost, za razliku od prva dva benda pjevaju na svom jeziku, te ubacuju i
nest sporije ritmove i kratke etno zvucece detalje, sto daje meni zanimljiv
ugodjaj. bez obzira na slican stil, svatko ovdje ima skroz svoj zvuk, i sva tri
benda imaju kvalitetnu studijsku produkciju, sto je kod ovakvih bendova pod
must. eto, ja inace slusam vise pankerskiji, skroz sirovi grind, ali ovo je
gadno nabrijan disk i iako muzicki razradjeni do detalja, ekipa ne zvuci nimalo
fensi i zamorno. simpatican underground duh, sto nije ni cudo posto je ovo izdao
NIHILISTIC HOLOCAUST, francuski DIY label specijaliziran za extreme metal

Hellspawn...a putrid barbaric evil from a land of Poland is ready for big
battle inside this D.I.Y 3 way split, their contribution by putting 5 tracks

musical approach, Hellspawn isn't too different with other Poland's skull
crushing death metal bands except they born and baptised by fire bringing

Hateful...fucking brutal death metal from Italy too, the band play more
energic and aggressive especially if you listen carefully to how their
drummer play grinding beats and some of drilling roffle, I think Hateful can
be compare to some of major death metal like Monstrosity, Vader... too shame
they only put 3 tracks, I can't wait to listen their full lenght

Last is Impureza...this band is good too, choosing pure death
metal riffs into uncountable skin blasting and punishing double bass. The
unique part from this band is they play some latin rhythm, latin track title
and lyrics too I think but the band itself based at France, in fact the
vocalist have a same style and character with Brujeria. In short words...if
you need true demented band, make sure grab any Impureza records.

Ahah énorme…énorme ? « mais de quoi il parle là ? ». C’est pourtant simple, je
viens de voir une illustration du mini livret accompagnant ce split-album, et le
moins que l’on puisse dire c’est qu’elle est assez explicite sur le contenu de
la galette ; On y voit une tête coiffée à la mode de Versailles se faire écraser
la tronche par une main sortie des enfers et le tout surplombé par la citation
du siècle…SUPPORT THE KILLING OF MELODIES . Génial n’est ce pas ? Et
effectivement la notion de mélodie a été laissée aux chiottes…l’on a affaire a
du gros, du lourd, du violent, du trappu….du brutal death quoi ! Comme dit
précédemment, on est ici devant un split-album partagé en trois groupes ; Hellspawn (Pologne), Hateful
(Italie), Impureza (France), que l’on va étudier
séparément bien qu’ils évoluent dans le même style… HELLSPAWN : La Pologne a beau avoir une scène death métal
pas forcement reconnue et médiatisée, elle n’en reste pas moins de qualité et
c’est pas ce groupe qui va changer la donne. A l’écoute de leur musique il ne
fait aucun doutes que ces ptits gars ont bouffés du Nile depuis le berceau. Que
ce soit dans les guitares ou dans le chant ultra caverneux ou retrouve cette
petite touche de folklore malsain qui donne l’impression que c’est le mal en
personne qui s’exprime. 5 titres d’un brutal death ravageur, comprenant sa dose
de blasts, de double pédale, de growls et de cheveux. Le tout desservi par une
production adéquate pour ce genre de musique ; grasse, puissante et ma foi assez
groovy. Vous noterez la présence de quelques solos foutrement bien exécutés et
qui font plaisir a entendre, mais ne faites pas dire ce que je n’ai pas dit !!
Ils ne sont nullement mélodiques et ne viennent donc pas entacher ce délicieux
concentré de brutalité et de violence. HATEFUL : Et
on continue...brutal death italien cette fois. Et que dire ? hum…alors je ne
sais pas si les 3 groupes ont officiés avec le même producteur ou quoi mais j’ai
bien l’impression que non. En effet, ici le gras est absent, les guitares n’ont
plus cette lourdeur cataclysmique et rendent malheureusement le tout moins
trapu. Et c’est dommage étant donné la qualité de la musique. Certes du brutal
death traditionnel, mais quelle classe dans l’exécution ! Le batteur ne cesse de
vous ménager à coups de blasts sacrement bien calé, les riffs de guitare
diaboliques ne sont pas sans rappeler Immolation et le chant entre hurlé et
growlé renforce la rugosité des compositions. Alors tout ça c’est bien beau,
mais les titres ne dépassant pas (ou de très peu) les 2 minutes, c’est un peu
court pour apprécier pleinement la musique. Surtout que ce groupe n’a que 3
pistes sur le CD… IMPUREZA: On prend les mêmes et on
recommence ! Le groupe a beau avoir un nom espagnol, des titres de compos
espagnol, un chant espagnol, un site Internet en espagnol, il est bel et bien
français (du moins d’après le papier livré avec la démo). La question est :
est-ce que des rythmes de salsa, de tango et un arrière goût de paella arrosée a
la sangria se sont immiscer dans la zik du combo ? La réponse est….non, et
heureusement (bien que certaines parties aient des sonorités un peu ibériques
mais c’est assez rare). Première chose, la prod est au rendez-vous et
croyez-moi, ça aurait été un sacrilège que de ne pas avoir un son énorme pour
Impureza, tant c’est violent, brutal, malsain etc. Ici aussi le batteur n’est
pas manchot et mène la danse avec une maîtrise sans pareille de son instrument
(comprenez par la que pour faire original il blast et cale de la double un peu
partout…pour notre plus grand plaisir !), à tel point que vous ne saurez plus où
donner des cheveux. Les riffs de gratte parfaitement maîtrisés vont dans le sens
du reste du skeud, c’est à dire apocalyptiques, torturés et sonnant la fin du
monde. Histoire d’enfoncer le clou, la basse et le chant sont bien grassouillets
et groovy a souhait. Et parce que ça bute, il y a 9 titres d’une durée
acceptable…(on est loin des 3 titres de 2 minutes des ritals oui). Ce split bien
qu’apportant peu d’originalité (bien que le brutal death se suffise à lui-même,
on est d’accord.) nous présente trois groupes de pays différents mais cassant
tous trois la baraque. Brutaux, malsains, chevelus, on se plait à faire tourner
en boucle les 45, 52min de ce skeud et je crois que pour conclure un
BEUUUUUUUUUAAAAAAAAAAH suffit a exprimer la qualité de la musique (si si je vous
assure c’est de la musique !).

If these aren't the first lines of mine you've ever read, you must have
witnessed some of my comments that were not so optimistic about web-zines.
Despite my "web-zines are not real zines" attitude as usual there are some
exceptions, even in this web-zine issue, and some guys can succeed in
creating interesting fanzines with html codes; Nihilist Holocaust is one of
them. If you consider it was a real print-zine before turning into an
electronic one (I guess), its success in drawing metalheads' attention isn't
an accident at all. The guy behind this webzine is not only writing about
bands but also putting out their demos and albums on tapes and CDr's and
nothing weak came out from his d.i.y. label until now; this 3-way
compilation isn't exception. Being packed with pro-printed cover, this 3-way
album presents three great death metal bands. HELLSPAWN from Poland vomits
five old school death metal compositions with obvious MORBID ANGEL feeling.
I particularly liked their last song. As for Italian HATEFUL, they sound
more like technical death metal bands like DYING FETUS but they seem to be
focused on only being technical and forgot another important element which
is catchiness. IMPUREZA from France have lyrics sung in their Spanish, I
guess (Don't ask me why.) while their music is highly inspired by NILE in
terms of song-writing and drumming and they are brutal! In conclusion, if
you are a death metal fan, no matter which style you prefer, there is at
least one band for you in this disc.

N’en déplaise
à ceux qui ont voté non à la constitution européenne, l’Europe du
death-metal est en marche. Et le sinistre ministre en charge du
dossier, Gab, nous a pondu là un rapport parlementaire plus
qu’éloquent. En guise d’introduction de ce document dispo sous format
cdr nous sont dévoilés les arguments défensifs des polonais Hellspawn.
Attirail de riffs torturés et cuirasse de blasts insubmersibles
à faire palir d’envie tout amateur de Hate Eternal / Morbid Angel
des débuts. Classique mais indubitablement génial. La 2nde partie
est consacrée aux italiens Hateful qui déversent leur death-metal
plein de hargne (comme leur nom le suggère si bien). 3 titres très
courts qui m’ont largement moins passionné. Plus original certes
mais limite prise de tête tant ça fourmille de plans complexes ultra
rapides. J’ose à peine imaginer la migraine que me causerait un
album entier. Quoiqu’il en soit les fans de trucs mégabarrés vont
en avoir les esgourdes siffleuses. Les 25 dernières minutes de la
galette étant consacrées aux français Impureza, je vous invite à
dévorer au plus vite mes chros de leurs 2 démos respectives, présentes
en intégralité sur ce split. En gros pour ceux qui ont la flemme,
on jette Immolation, Nile et un quelconque disque de flamenco (n’importe
lequel, j’y connais que dalle) dans un shaker, on remue tout ça
ébergiquement et on sert bien frais. Attention ça tape ! En résumé,
oubliez d’acheter le dernier Canniboule, la vérité est ailleurs.

Maybe someone knows the phenomenon that at a party, in a club, in a pub,
wherever, a really fucking cute girl (almost always) has a snipe on the side
which is either ugly, fat or stupid or everything combined? Psychologist still
research if the good-looking has simply complexes or even feels pity for the
other one. Or maybe this one (the dumb) hopes that the ggame is the same on the
male side. However. This way, but not that extreme, was my contact with this
split CD. For example, I can’t make anything to me with the french band
IMPUREZA. They have spanish lyrics? I don’t care. Though it’s strange. But
listening to Death Metal „spiced" with Flamenco guitars makes me vomiting. Shall
be originally, or what? Luckily IMPUREZA limited that crap for one song („La
checa del perverso"). But this comes twice, in a current version and the
original song from the demo of last year. Aditionally this kind of Death Metal
is too technical and too chaotic for me. A lot of breaks and tempo changes kill
the flow. And the raw blunt grunts of the shouter have no effect. That’s for the
lesser impressing part of „Tworzenia, resurrezione, démence". The split is
started by HELLSPAWN from Poland. The five songs are taken from the demo 2005.
And are a pleasure for fans of brutal Death Metal the american way. Just the
deep vokills are not specially convincing and without variations. The guitars
shows influences of Morbid Angel, sometimes very clearly. But HELLSPAWN turn it
all to the best with the adamant speed they releasing their sickness with. It
often reminds to brazilian speed troops like Rebaelliun or Krisiun. If HELLSPAWN
work for their independency, there’s something going on. From Italy hail HATEFUL
which just offer three tracks The sound of these promo tracks is underground.
Maybe due to the fact that band founder Daniele Lupidi is the last survivor and
finally the stuff was just possible with the support of ex-drummer Marcello
Malagoli. But these few minutes can convince musically at least. Death Metal
with songwriting full of ideas, intense guitar riffs, tight drumming, varied
vocals and here and there an addiction for dissonances and Thrash Metal. Cool
stuff. All in all a good split Cd, where the bands have their appearance
according to the valency.

Roh, que l'on me flagelle
face à cette grotesque erreur ! Moi qui pourtant rappelle constamment comme il
ne faut pas se fier aux apparences et aller au delà, perdu sur le site
d'IMPERUZA qu'affreux qu'il était (et est toujours d'ailleurs) que je ne m'étais
attardé sur les extraits proposés ! Heureusement aujourd'hui c'est chose
rattrapée grâce à l'arrivée de cette galette du label oh bien underground qu'est
NIHILISTIC HOLOCAUST qui remet en valeur les compos du groupe sous le format
d'un split (Une habitude chez N.H.) ...cd réunissant la première et seconde démo
du groupe plus la venue de deux autres formations perdues au delà de nos
frontières avec en l'occurrence : HELLSPAWN pour la Pologne et HATEFUL pour
l'Italie. Bien qu'ici ce soit IMPERUZA qui clôture ces 3/4 d'heures démoniaques
c'est avec eux que je commencerais ! Honneur aux Français :) ..4 titres donc
pour cette seconde démo qui suit les 3 de la première parue en 2005 où ces
premiers nous proposent un brutal death dont la technique (concise) va chercher
ses influences du côté des IMMOLATION / SUFFOCATION et NILE... références
d'ailleurs avancées que le groupe ! Un death massif, oppressant et entraînant
donc qui n'isole pas pour autant une sombre ambiance enrichie par deux chants
caverneux et quasi possédés. Ces deux n'enviant rien au sieur Benton de vous
savez où et dégageant bien un air infernal, si le death d'IMPERUZA conjugue avec
brio technique et ambiance lourde et malsaine, deux détails d'importance
viennent bonifier et personnaliser au bonheur cette musique n'étant pas pour
autant nouvelle ! Des détails donc avec d'un côté le fait de chanter
intégralement en espagnol (très enrichissant au niveau des consonances et du
raclement de gorge pour enrichir l'ambiance) et l'immiscions de quelques touches
flamenco, très subtiles mais peut-être encore trop discrètement réparties ! "La
checa del perverso" est d'ailleurs un bien bon titre qui s'il est trop court à
mon goût (3mn tout juste) nous accueille avec une intro flamenco très
appétissante avant d'enchaîner sur un death à l'ambiance conservant presque
l'esprit flamenco ! 7 titres donc pour IMPERUZA qu'il s'ils pâtissaient d'une
rythmique pas encore expérimentée sur les morceaux de la première démo se
rattrapent vite fait avec un tempo bien plus percutant, calé et insaisissable
sur les morceaux de la seconde ! Bien cachés qu'ils sont les IMPERUZA, voici un
groupe qui a de quoi mettre le feu à la scène ! Pour finir et revenir au titre
"La checa del perverso" je vous invite à vous rendre sur l'espace "My space" du
groupe où vous pourrez visualiser le clip bien foutu de ce titre ! Suivent ou
plutôt "précèdent" HELLSPAWN et HATEFUL avec cinq titres pour ces premiers et
trois pour les seconds. HELLSPAWN débutant que l'écoute entre en un death old
school qui ne rechignerait pas des airs de MORBID ANGEL, IMMOLATION, HATE
ETERNAL voir CANNIBAL CORPSE de par un petit côté frénétique ! Mais ce n'est pas
là l'essence première de ces Polonais qui s'ils possèdent un growleur oh combien
lourd et sourd nous entraînent à travers des riffs bien plus .. sataniques
aimerais je dire ! Formule volée à leurs influences, HELLSPAWN possède quand
même sa part de subtilité jouant tout en profondeur et mettant la rythmique sur
l'avant. La part belle au batteur qui a souvent la tremblote saccadée. Le petit
plus du groupe est d'opter pour des passages quelques lents rendant propice
l'ambiance sombre voulue ! Quoiqu'il en soit, cette première démo en ce split
présenté est intéressante par quelques passages sombres mais les Polonais
d'HELLSPAWN sont pour moi bien trop influencés pour décoller ! Toutefois à
niveau underground on a là un terreau de très bonne qualité pour les plantes
nocives ! A qui s'y frotte... Pour sa part, HATEFUL actif depuis 1997 nous offre
un death metal dont la tradition va chercher du côté des MORBID ANGEL,
SUFFOCATION et tout ce qui s'en rapproche ! Un death à son tour ainsi sombre et
instable. Alternant blasts et passages plus mid aux côtés de riffs une once
technique et entraînants, l'effet demeure cependant emprisonné dans une
définition "old school" trop connue. S'il est à dire que cette formation
n'apporte rien du coup à un style qui n'a peut-être plus grand chose de neuf à
apporter, on reste cependant accroché du long (ou court) des 5 minutes 30 que le
groupe propose ! Un brutal death ainsi propre au style : des riffs aux tempos en
passant par les sonorités instrumentales et la prod assez claire et sulfureuse.
Un groupe où si sur une moyenne de 10 je mettrai 7 voir 7.5 pour l'efficacité et
la technique ne met qu'un 2 ou 3 pour le côté identité... Aux amateurs de
choisir quelle moyenne leur convient !

Vive l'Europe! Sous la bannière de Nihilistic H. se retrouve trois combos qui
mettent sur ce split cd des titres de leurs démos respectives. Du Brutal Death à
toutes les sauces, à savoir polonaise avec HELLSPAWN, italienne avec HATEFUL et
française (limite espagnol!) avec IMPUREZA combo d'Orléans. Solide entrée en
matière avec les polonais qui bénéficie d'une excellente prod mettant bien en
avant leur Death à la Immolation. On enchaîne avec les italiens qui ont un son
plus métallique mais des combos beaucoup plus variées et orientées encore plus
old-school. Trois titres et puis s'en vont mais qu'est ce que ça déménage! On
retrouve un son plus lourd avec nos frenchies que l'on pourrait prendre pour des
espagnols au vu des paroles toutes dans la langue des BARON ROJO (Yves si tu
m'entends…). Là l'influence majeure est signée NILE, avec des parties ambiantes
agrémentées de passages acoustiques plutôt bien sentie qui alternent à des
blasts et un chant bien comme il faut! Pour les parties acoustiques, l'influence
espagnol d'un des membres ressurgit en plein, on tend vers le
brutal-flamenco…Olé Toro!! Au final un split qui permet de faire découvrir trois
combos d'un très bon niveau, chapeau bas à Nihilistic H. pour cette sortie! A se
procurer si vous arrivez à mettre la main dessus…(Fully)

Nihilistic Holocaust is a small French label that supports the death metal
underground scene all over the world. This much can be concluded from their
newest release 'Tworzenia, Resurrezione, Démence', a split featuring three
bands: Helspawn from Poland, Hateful from Italy and Impureze from France.
Hellspawn plays decent, middle of the road death metal of a
quality that we are almost getting used to from bands that hail from Poland.
Their efforts are typically underground and it is clear that we are dealing with
their first demo here. The quality of the recording is ok, but Hellspawn still
need some time for their song writing skill to mature. Their five songs have a
good drive, but not once do they even have the smallest tendency towards
adventure. Whether these guys can play or not is not the question here, you just
have to notice the Morbid Angel like soloing to hear they are on the right
track, they just need to work a bit on the uniqueness of their material. If they
manage to do that, they have a bright future ahead of them.
Things are quite different for Hateful. They present us with only
three songs (totalling five and a half minutes) and it must be said that this is
a bit too little to say much about them. They manage to keep their high-speed
death/thrash quite interesting by not constantly playing at the same speed and
with the same kind of riffs. Yet for this group, that has even been active since
1997, the same goes as for the last one: for now it's just not special enough.
Nothing that happens in these three tracks hasn't been done before and when that
does not change, it will be hard to escape the Italian underground.
Impureza is the only band on this release that really surprises
me. Their death metal almost gets a tribal touch by the Spanish guitars that
sometimes support the riffing and that at other times provide a nice break to
the riffs. Their seven songs mainly consist of several passages that are quite
different form each other, yet they are held together nicely with the help of
decent breaks and smooth transitions. They are the only band that have already
created a unique sound of their own and I can really see them leaving the small
Nihilistic Holocaust label quite soon.

Amateurs de gros Death qui tache, cet enregistrement est
fait pour vous. Alliant leurs différentes approches en terme de musique brutale,
les trois formations ici présentes font preuve de qualités
multiples.
Hellspawn ouvre le bal et le moins que l’on puisse dire c’est
que ces jeunes gens s’y connaissent en matière de puissance. Le son happe
directement l’auditeur dans une spirale infernale, le noyant sous des riffs tous
plus lourds les uns que les autres. Aucun répit, aucune respiration possible…les
cinq titres offerts par le combo sont autant de brûlots répugnants, qui suintent
un Metal des plus extrêmes et ravageurs. Les qualités techniques du quatuor ne
font aucun doute, chaque membre faisant preuve d’une aisance impressionnante.
Quant à la production, il s’agit d’un des points forts de cette démo : clair,
puissant, brutal…que demander de plus ? A l’écoute de ces pièces, l’on songe à
leurs compatriotes de Behemoth, le tout dans un registre légèrement plus Death,
notamment du fait de vocaux d’outre tombe maîtrisés. Sans révolutionner le monde
du Brutal Death, Hellspawn se fait le chantre d’une virulence sonore
appréciable. Nul doute à l’écoute de « Hypocrisy » ou de « Antimary » que le
groupe peut aller très loin, s’il propose à l’avenir des titres quelques peu
plus personnels.
Les italiens de Hateful officient dans un style
différent, mais loin d’être dénué de charme. En cinq minutes et trente secondes
à mon chronomètre, ils réussissent le tour de force d’en mettre plein les
oreilles de l’auditeur. Leur Death Thrash très vif fait tout à la fois penser à
Suffocation ou Hate Eternal, le charisme en moins. La production, beaucoup plus
confidentielle, souffre de la comparaison avec le groupe d’ouverture de ce
split. Il n’empêche néanmoins que j’aimerais pouvoir très prochainement avoir le
plaisir de retrouver les transalpins sur un format plus long, afin de me faire
une idée plus précise du talent que je soupçonne chez ces garçons.
Impureza, les français de l’étape, finissent avec brio cette communion
malsaine. L’intérêt qu’a suscité chez moi cette formation vient de sa démarche
relativement originale. Elle évolue en effet dans un Death Metal très brutal,
aux ambiances bien amenées, qui ne sont pas sans rappeler mes chouchous
américains, Immolation, notamment sur «Las colinas de los crucificados sin
cabezas » et son solo entêtant, sur lequel des vocaux possédés viennent se
greffer. « La luz de la la luna negra » m’a pour sa part fait immédiatement voir
en ces orléanais, une réponse possible à Broken Hope, du fait de leur goût pour
les riffs techniques et saccadés. A leur Death Metal Brutal, le quatuor a eu
l’excellente idée d’ajouter des passages flamenco du meilleur effet. Ainsi, vous
voici en présence d’un combo alliant puissance et lourdeur du métal à la
vélocité et à l’aspect mélodique de la musique traditionnelle espagnole. Le
mariage est réussi et donne naissance à un style inédit des plus prometteurs. En
affirmant encore plus ce côté folklorique, Impureza pourrait s’imposer comme
l’un des leaders de la scène Death hexagonale, c’est du moins tout le mal que je
peux leur souhaiter.
Ce nouvel opus des histoires underground de
Nihilistic Holocaust m’a réellement charmé. Quel plaisir de voir l’énorme
potentiel de groupes en quête de renommée, issu des quatre coins de l’Europe.
Mention spéciale à Impureza qui, à mon humble avis, mérite toute votre
attention, si tant est que vous appréciez le Brutal Death Metal. Des démos de
cette qualité, je veux bien en écouter tous les jours…

This CD
is a very good blend of 3 different styles of death metal.
Things start off with the excellent 5 song promo from newcomers "Hellspawn"
from Poland. These 5 songs are varied but all very interesting. Down tuned
guitars and pounding bass are ever present throughout the songs, with the drums
providing a solid foundation and the vocals killing throughout the 5 songs.
Their style is heavily influenced by
their country mates and there is nothing wrong with that. It is incredible how
many good bands come from Poland and they definitely are a worthy member of
their metal community.
Hateful is a complete whirlwind that will leave you dizzy. Their songs come
up as much more aggressive than Hellspawn, and although the guitars are not
tuned as low; somehow they make the songs sound much more to the point. Add to
this that their 3 songs are somewhat short even for death metal, and they seem
like the exact dose that will pound you to oblivion quickly.
One of the things I liked best about Hateful are the rhythm changes right in
the middle of the song which all seemed to be right in the right places and
don't break the song's main idea, but instead they enhance them. The vocals also
sound short and to the point. I can tell you something though; I would have
never guessed this band was from Italy, as most of the other Italian bands I
have the opportunity to hear were much more grind-like.
Impureza came across as a very intriguing band. Their death metal style is by
far the most diverse and "interesting" if you want to put a noun to them. The
sound is for the most part much darker and a bit muddy, but they manage to blend
several different styles in each one of their songs and that is what makes them
sound diverse.
At times it almost sounds like you are listening to a hybrid of death metal
and some metalcore (without the clean vocals of course) only to be interrupted
by a flamenco sounding guitar part. Their solos are all excellent and diverse,
but the overall tone is for sure leaning towards the dark.
Although this was apparently a demo, the artwork seems to be the real thing,
although the actual CD was a CDr which kind of sucks, because this release is a
keeper. All of the songs are either promos or demos, but you couldn't tell from
the overall quality of the music.
This CD is a perfect example of how death metal is very much alive in
different parts of the globe and actually shows you how different it sounds from
style to style. One thing for sure; these are all very brutal sounding bands.

and abhorrence by and for Death bangers. This Split cd-r has a pro-pressed booklet and a
bottom inlay though. This trench is divided by 3 hordes, Hellspawn (Pol) they’ll
torment your decomposed skull with a brutal discharged a Death Metal overdose
(Demo´05: Hypocrisy-Legion-Antimary-Velvet sashes of voices-Voice of damnation)
in the Real and Brutal way like Rebaelliun; you can feel the rounds & rounds
of multi-stabs in the drums of Robert
Kolman what a wild bastard goddamm it !!! Maruiusz’s yells are deep, obscure,
pretty superior violent technique riffs. If you hear it you’ll agree. These
mates need to be supported no matter what! As South American bastards as
we’re…We like and are more into cruel and violent pukes than soft weeping shit
like some stupid bastards who are fucking pathetic sluts singing “Black
Metal??????” about mist, sadness, lakes and shit like that haha Nuke the
Bastards…. Go to watch “Lord of the rings” and fist yourselves while I will
screw your sis and mom listening Pentagram’s Demos … Up
Yours!.
The
second explosion begins with Hateful (Ita) It’s a 2 piece Death Metal band
offering its Demo´05: Ravenous-Built on nothingness-Piercing through shadows,
showing some brutal riffs and well-played tempo changes and chaotic drum
hammering though, in the vein of Nile and
Morbid Angel. Growls are putrid enough and cruel kinda high shrieks as well. 3
trax aren’t enough to review a whole band, so you must understand it now.
And
finally Impureza (Fra) will finish your skull off with both “Demo´05” &
“Demo´06”, very strange feeling is what Impureza spreads. They play vile enough
and add some Flamenco touches in couple of trax which suddenly change to the
most violent Death Gore Metal which are sung in Spanish (For European and Asian
mates this will be interesting because of language). Here you’ll hear more Gore
or even Grind feeling especially in vokills (Very saturated and primitive
corrosive enough) and the whole both demos 05 and 06, but some old Cannibal
Corpse touches are here as well. Trax

Nihilistic Holocaust che vede la presenza di tre realta' death metal, ossia
Hellspawn, Hateful e Impureza…
Si parte con gli Hellspawn,
band polacca che ci proponenelle cinque tracce a disposizione un death metal
classico accostabile a band del loro paese quali Behemoth e Vader.I ritmi sono
elevatissimi, grazie all'ottima performance del batterista che martella gli
ascoltatori dalla prima all'ultima traccia con i suoi blast beat
iperveloci.
A parte questo pero' si ha la
sensazione di gia' sentito pur ammettendo che i nostri ci sanno fare.Di
tutt'altra opinione sono per gli italiani Hateful che alzano nettamente le
potenzialità del cd con il loro death metal malato e distruttivo. Un drumming
ben articolato e devastante, chitarre veloci ,voce potente! Unico rammarico
forse sta'nella produzione, che non esalta a mio parere le potenzialità del
combo.
Chiudono infine i francesi
Impureza che sono un po' il sunto dei due gruppi precedenti,accentuando di piu'
nella componente brutal e addirittura si sentono in alcuni pezzi chitarre folk.
Non capisco pero' l'uso della lingua spagnola che e'vero risulta ben adatta nel
contesto, ma che trovo inusuale in un gruppo francese. Consiglio quest'album
agli amanti del genere e che, anche se'non fa' gridare al miracolo, sa' farsi
ascoltare…

Nonostante il taglio redazionale della zine tenda a
privilegiare uscite “commerciali” del settore (se proprio così vogliamo
definirle), è sempre un piacere per il sottoscritto dare spazio a pubblicazioni
che per ovvie ragioni faticano ad avere la medesima leggibilità.
Sicuramente
l’etichetta francese Nihilistic Holocaust può vantare proposte appartenenti alla
classe “meno fortunata”, ma non per questo sinonimo di scarsa qualità. Difatti
con Tworzenia, Resurrezione, Démence la label ci offre la possibilità di
ascoltare in un unico lavoro tre interessanti realtà. Lo split in questione vede
impegnati gli Hellspawn, gli Hateful e gli Impureza che, nonostante le ovvie
sfumature, trovano la giusta sinergia in un denominatore comune: death metal di
stampo classico.
Aprono le danze i polacchi Hellspawn, che in cinque
tracce mostrano qualità non comuni grazie ad un sound violento e veloce, e doti
tecniche di tutto rispetto; campionario nel quale si muovono con disinvoltura
tra riff serratissimi, ritmica incalzante e un growl abominevole. Il combo non
tradisce i propri natali: infatti da un punto di vista tecnico-stilistico il
quartetto ricorda i connazionali Behemoth, senza dimenticare gli Incantation.
Poco altro da aggiungere, se non sottolineare la buona prova degli Hellspawn,
tra l'altro coadiuvati da una discreta produzione, e che nonostante un sound
abbastanza derivato, hanno classe, genuina voglia di fare, nonché margini di
miglioramento.
Seguono, in tutti i sensi, i nostrani Hateful: difatti il
combo modenese non abbassa di una virgola il tiro, deliziandoci con un drumming
devastante e chitarre veloci e massacranti. Per loro solo tre brani, comunque
sufficienti per sviscerare diversi aspetti del loro potente sound. Anche in
questo caso infatti si intuiscono capacità esecutive di buon livello, ma
purtroppo la produzione non è amica del combo italico, ed inevitabilmente la
loro performance ne esce fuori penalizzata.
Chiudono i francesi Impureza,
che curiosamente, a dispetto dei natali optano per testi in spagnolo. Oltre che
per la scelta vocale, si evince già dal primo ascolto che i transalpini hanno il
coraggio di osare qualcosa in più rispetto i colleghi. Infatti, nonostante non
si gridi certo al miracolo, tra un sound con continui cambi di tempo che alterna
parti serratissime ad altre più cupe ed introspettive, grazie anche ad un guitar
work vario con addirittura richiami folkloristici, gli Impureza riescono a
partorire un prodotto tutto sommato personale dal piglio complesso e intrigante.
Evidenti capacità esecutive e quel tocco di fantasia, fanno di quest’ultimo
episodio il più riuscito; peccato per la produzione, che anche in questo caso
(per quanto migliore rispetto agli Hateful) cede il passo.
Tirando le
somme non posso redimermi dal sottolineare la riuscita complessiva di Tworzenia,
Resurrezione, Démence, che potrebbe risultare una chicca per tutti gli amanti
del genere con lo sguardo costantemente rivolto verso orizzonti underground; ma,
per le stesse ragioni, sono pressappoco inesistenti le chance che questo platter
ha di trovare spazio in dimensioni più luminose.
Piacevole…ma nulla di
più!

Te potrójne ciosy zadawane przez Nihilistic potrafia rozlozyc na lopatki i
wydaje sie, ze juz na stale weszly do repertuaru tego francuskiego labelu. Tym
razem na "Tworzenia, Resurrezione, Demence" mamy jeden polski akcent, czyli
HELLSPAWN i fakt ten powinien zwrócic uwage wszystkich maniax na to wydawnictwo.
Zwlaszcza, ze równiez z twórczoscia pozostalych kapel - wloskiego HATEFUL i
francuskiej IMPUREZY obcuje sie calkiem przyjemnie. Chociaz w przypadku takich
dzwieków to slowo nie jest trafione. Najobszerniej przedstawiona zostala
twórczosc IMPUREZY i w sumie bardzo dobrze, bo wg mnie pomimo wyrównanego
poziomu, to wlasnie oni wybijaja sie najbardziej. Pewnie, ze pod wzgledem
brzmieniowym odstaja chociazby od naszych rodaków, ale muzycznie smakuja
wysmienicie. Ich death metal to wypadkowa typowo amerykanskich wplywów (ze
wskazaniem na Ameryke Poludniowa) z elementami flamenco i grind. Brzmi
niesamowicie, ale lepiej sami ocencie, zeby nie bylo nieporozumien. Ciekawym
zjawiskiem jest takze to, iz teksty sa pisane w jezyku hiszpanskim, co jeszcze
mocniej powinno wplynac na atrakcyjnosc i swoista egzotyke materialu. Solidne
rzemioslo, kilka nietypowych pomyslów i nic ponad to. HATEFUL zaprezentowal
tylko 3 utwory, w dodatku bardzo krótkie. Do mnie najwyrazniej przemówil
póltoraminutowy "Built On Nothingness" - kawal dobrze zaaranzowanej, poteznie
naglosnionej i porzadnie odegranej smiercionosnej rozwalki. W pozostalych
numerach, jak to w death metalu, panuje istna dzicz, a panowie miotaja sie
pomiedzy nieskrepowana ekspresja a zawiklanymi i sprawiajacymi wrazenie
przemyslanych korbami. Na szczescie nie jest to granie, w którym chodzi tylko o
to by stworzyc jak najwiecej zagmatwanych struktur - zdarzaja sie równiez i te
bardziej "zabawowe" zagrania. HELLSPAWN zaprezentowal sie nam w pieciu
brutalnych songach. Zapomnijcie o nagminnej wirtuozerii czy chwytliwych
patentach, miejscami ("Velvet Sashes of Voices") brzmi to jak DECEPTION z
"Nuclear Wind", czyli jest to chore, brutalne granie o dosc mocno pokreconej
konstrukcji. Chwytliwy jest jedynie "Legion", ale z drugiej strony juz niczym
innym sie nie wyróznia, a czasami bywa nawet monotonny - ilez mozna sluchac tak
zmechanizowanej perkusji? Kapele pewnie furory nie zrobia, ale kazdy zbieracz
wszystkiego, co zostalo opatrzone szyldem death metal, powinien przyjrzec sie
temu splitowi z blizszej odleglosci.

OF DEATH Webzine (Hol)
Again another split by the French underground label
Nihilistic Holocaust, who is supporting the scene with a couple of these
delicious DIY-splits a year.
The first 5 songs are on account of Polish
Hellspawn. They blast you away with thorough powerful blend of US and
Brazilian Death Metal. In between the brutal massiveness it’s enjoying of the
technical skills. All 5 songs have a driving force and are very lively, which
makes it a pleasure to listen to. If you dig bands as Morbid Angel,
Rebaelliun, Vital Remains and Krisiun, Hellspawn is definitely worth to
check.
The Italians of Hateful perform next 3 songs. Old school
technical US death metal in vein of early Suffocation/Dying Fetus is what
we get served here. Gripping guitars, brutal drums and a great throat are your
guide in these 3 songs. Although they are not original or refreshing they know
how to touch the right spot of the old-school death metal freaks.
French Impureza closes the album. They end this party with 7
brutal bulging death metal outbursts with South-European traditional
intermezzos. The characterising sound of Nile is always very near. The
faster parts are very massive, when the band slows their tempo they are
immensely devastating. In both they have crushing effect. Nice fact is that all
lyrics are in Spanish.
Nihilistic Holocaust again did a terrific job by
bringing these 3 bands together on 1 release. My compliments!

The French NIHILISTIC
HOLOCAUST released usually very tasty splits with participation
of promising acts from a deep underground. This time surprisingly
with one Polish band, named HELLSPAWN! I reviewed their demo 2005
in the previous issue and here exactly we got 4 tracks from this
killer recording! So, let's remember ourselves only: these Poles
perform very pleasant death metal, which is extreme, intense and
fucking twisted. Most of the music is composed by use of fastest,
"rushing" riffs, crazy rhythmical section that changes
tempos very often. However HELLSPAWN repsects also some more catchy,
almost melodic means, like in the "Legion" track for example.
Every death maniac should pay attention to this act!
The second
band is HATEFUL from Italy, unknown name among the underground freaks,
nevertheless they're existing for 8 years already, and here present
3 songs from the promo 2005, which is the 2nd one in their discography.
Compared to the Poles, the Italians are intended to much more classical,
straighter and catchier stuff. Of course still we listen to death
metal art, but this time created by use of traditional mixture of
brutality and melody. HATEFUL composes rather simpler compositions,
which however are characterized of an interesting deadly atmosphere
and quite interesting intrigue ideas at all. Naturally for individuals
who grew up with death metal music in the beginning of the 90's!
And
the split is finishing with the French IMPUREZA, which is more unknown
for me yet, I couldn't find any info about this act anywhere. Their
7 songs are taken from the demos 2005 and 2006, what is pretty interesting
they have French lyrics! Well, IMPUREZA seems to me inspired by
a music from the early 90's as well, nevertheless they aren't so
purest in the death form like previous bands. I've noticed here
a little black metal (in the fastest parts) influencs as well as
a few thrashing solos and rifs. Eaxctly, inspite of quite straight,
classical arranges, IMPUREZA looks very decent in the technical
aspect, their compositions are swarming with such technical shows,
although the whole should be listenable for every metal heads definitely...
Let's
sum up, the discussed split came with professional cover, what is
much more important, with 3 unknown but very talented bands, so
we can say our friend G made a great job again!!!
NEKROLOGIUM
Webzine (Swe)
Polish Hellspawn obviously have their roots in bands like Morbid Angel and
Immolation. They have however added some typical Brazilian riffing in the vein
of say Ophiolatry and Rebaelliun to this. Add to this a typical Polish touch.
All in all it's rather dark and quite good stuff. Italian Hateful is not as
dark, but instead a bit more intense in their riffing. They seem somewhat
promising but their contribution to this split feels as it is over before it
actually started. Better production and some work at their song building
technique would probably be needed before one can fully come to terms with them.
French Impureza is again a darker band. They are probably also the most original
band on this split. Sure, some Morbid Angel and even Nile influences can be
traced, but most of it is very much their own an refreshing adaptation. Their
Southern European cultural heritage is even integrated in a couple of songs in a
rather successful way. All in all a good split with three promising bands.

Nihilistic Holocaust never ceases to disappoint me when it comes to their
releases, I actually look for a bottle of beer while listening to this one, but
so sad there is no Alcohol or beers available in any stores here in Riyadh, KSA,
so I drank orange juice instead and light my cigarette while bangin’.
Here’s
another split. A three way split that actually breaks my skull of fuckin’ Death
Metal Brutality! First band torturing my ears was Hellspawn from Poland.
HELLSPAWN – Hellspawn could break thy skull of fuckin’ chaotic intensity
with rhythmic brutality that tossed out some sweet guitar solos, and I couldn’t
deny the fact that I like this band, they delivers a skillful riffage with those
heavy break downs and hyperblast that could crush you out, and what I like most
is that they didn’t forgot to slow down a bit and its undeniable that they have
some traditional death metal assault but the brutality attacks of this band is
quite evident that you would want even more. This is fuckin’ brutal death metal
from hell! Songs taken from their demo 2005.
HATEFUL – This band is from
Italy, I am not sure if this is the same band from Italy that plays grindcore
before, and if it is? Well, these guys change their style musically into Death
grind and I am very surprised of their evolvement because it is quite amazing
and they are fuckin’ brutal as fuck! I like how the drummer blast and pound its
way that sometimes reminds me of a USDM hyperblast. This band could terminate
life intensely , the aggression and some slammin’ sickness could bang yah head
off. From their name itself, yeah, they have full of hate! Their hateful riffing
is fucking neck breaking…songs take from their promo 2005.
IMPUREZA –
the last band in this split. I never expect that this band is a French band
without looking their contact info on their sleeves of the cd, because this band
actually sounded like a Latin Death Metal and even sounded like Brujeria
sometimes also, but as a band musicwise, this band captures my full attention
because of their uncontrolled intensity of riffings with feral slammin’
brutality and I like the fact that they are not focusing on one musical
direction and even combining some blackened riff, I actually enjoyed the
classical intro of some Spanish musical tunes of some of their tracks is really
sounded cool to my ears. This is an evidence that the French extreme underground
death grind scene are killer with some French band that I like; like Kronos,
Inhumate etc.…Impureza is one of my list now…songs taken from their demo 2005
& 2006.

G z NIHILICTIC HOLOCAUST uderza kolejnym podziemnym
wydawnictwem i przyznam, iż bardzo podziwiam upór i zaangażowanie tego kolesia w
promowanie malutkich, podziemnych hord… Oczywiście nie wszystko, co ukazuje się
pod szyldem NH jest godne najwyższego zainteresowania, ale grunt, iż pomaga to
zespołom, a często dobrze jest mieć te tytuły dla zwykłych celów
kolekcjonerskich… Tym razem Gab zebrał 3 death metalowe bandy, by zjednoczyć je
i wydać na jednym CDR-rze (z drukowaną, ale skromną – jak zwykle – okładką). Dla
nas wydawnictwo to jest o tyle ciekawe, iż otwiera je polski HELLSPAWN, którego
notabene wcześniej nie znałem. No to posłuchałem sobie ich materiał, pochodzący
z demo 2005… I jakoś wielkiego wrażenia on nie zrobił na mnie. Co prawda
HELLSPAWN gra solidny i na tzw. “poziomie” stuff, ale nie sikam jakoś podczas
jego słuchania. Sporo tu riffów, które brzmią, jakby były zapożyczone z
BEHEMOTH, jednak podstawa HELLSPAWN to siarczysty i maksymalnie szybki death
metal z Ameryki (skojarzenia z MORBID ANGEL, IMMOLATION??? Jak najbardziej!), z
brutalnym, zbasowanym brzmieniem i gardłowym, nieludzkim growlem (w sumie to
przypomina mi to także holenderski SINISTER). Oj, szybko to tu jest, ale równie
dobrze zespól czuje się w średnich tempach, często częstując słuchacza również
takowymi, przy tym nieco bardziej technicznymi przerywnikami (które nie zawsze
brzmią dobrze, moim zdaniem). Ogólnie to muzyka HELLSPAWN jest nieskomplikowana
i mało odkrywcza. Nie mówię, iż źle się jej słucha, bo daje to jakiegoś kopa i
nawet przyjemnie wali w pysk, niemniej nie sądzę, by był to materiał zdolny
wywindować zespół do czołówki polskiego death metalowego napierdu. Po prostu
czegoś mi tu brakuje, a przy tym nieco zalatuje tu zwykłą nudą. Cóż, jeśli
HELLSPAWN nie zrobił na mnie najbardziej piorunującego wrażenia, to może kolejny
band będzie lepszy? HATEFUL także napierdala szybko jak maszyna, również robi to
w amerykańskim stylu, ale nieco inaczej. Mnóstwo tu agresji, brutalności,
energii, ale kawałki są bardzo krótkie, przez co sprawiają wrażenie szybkich,
skomasowanych ataków! Ktoś mógłby powiedzieć, iż numery, które trwają półtora
minuty za wiele do powiedzenia nie mają i może to i prawda, ale kurcze jakoś
przyjemnie ten cały HATEFUL daje po dupie. Napierdalać chłopaki po prostu
potrafią, nie tracą zwyczajnie czasu na pierdoły, tylko prą do przodu i walczą z
wrogiem o mokre i zawsze chętne białogłowe (haha). Naprawdę podoba mi się to ich
granie, mimo iż nie należy ono do zbyt odkrywczych… No i wreszcie ostatni band,
IMPUREZA. Już raz miałem z nimi do czynienia. I nawet może podobać się ten ich
przepis na death metal, który jest mocno oparty na dokonaniach NILE, MORBID
ANGEL czy IMMOLATION, ale czasem potrafi też i nieźle zaskoczyć, zwłaszcza, gdy
zespół połączy death metal z flamenco ha! A tak dzieje się tu kilka razy, choćby
w pierwszym z ich utworów, “La Luz de la la Luna Negra”. Wpierw IMPUREZA
wykurwia szybko, jak diabeł wcielony, by po chwili wrzucić krótki akustyczny
przerywnik i potem znowu dopierdolić. Fajne! Generalnie nieźle chłopaki grają,
solidnie i rzetelnie, pomysłowo i z jajem. Dodatkowego smaczku robią teksty
spisane po hiszpańsku, choć szczerze – kto zrozumie te bulgoty wokalisty? Tak,
czy siak, całkiem zajebista muza, zdecydowanie inspirowana NILE, więc już samo
to mówi wiele. Mi się tam podoba…

Un split CD signé Nihilistic Holocaust,
orienté brutal death/death metal, de
quoi headbanguer pendant longtemps! Hellspawn nous sortent un brutal death avec
des solos de guitars et une boite a bruit (ou a rytmes pour ceux qui préfèrent
ce
terme!) bien puissante. De leur coté Hatefull nous gavent de death avec un
batteur bien réel, nous regrettons juste qu'ils n'ont mis que trois titres mais
qui restent quand meme trois boucheries! Et Impureza nous offrent eux aussis une
boite a bruit! Et une voix me rappelant quelques chanteur de black...Un tres bon
split que nous sort le webzine NIHILISTIC HOLOCAUST (www.nihilistic.ca.tc).

Nouvelle prod pour Gab et le label nordiste Nihilistic Holocaust : ce split CD
de 3 groupes vous permettra une fois de plus de découvrir de nouveaux acteurs de
l'extrême, ici un groupe Polonais (HELLSPAWN), un Italien (HATEFUL) et un
Français (IMPUREZA), dans des styles assez différents, et surtout avec une
qualité musicale inégale...
HELLSPAWN (Brutal Death Metal) - Démo 2005 -
8/10.
Comme quasiment tous ses congénères polonais, le groupe a certainement
beaucoup écouté Morbid Angel et Vader dans sa jeunesse, avec un chanteur qui
doit être fan de Mortician. Vous l'aurez compris, on navigue ici en pleine
brutalité mais heureusement, le groupe a un son tout à fait bon pour une démo,
ce qui permet de mettre en valeur les 5 titres présentés ici, pour un résultat
somme toute très bon. Du blast de sa mère et des riffs inspirés quoique pas
originaux du tout, voilà en gros pour HELLSPAWN, sauf que là, on se prend à
demander un album complet afin d'en avoir le coeur net, d'autant que certains
mid tempos sont jouissifs... Mais a-t-on besoin d'un autre Decapitated ou d'un
autre Hate en Pologne à l'heure actuelle ? Pas certain, mais de loin, HELLSPAWN
est le groupe le plus intéressant de ce split CD. Moi, je kiffe le son des
grattes et je me réécoute le groupe sans souci, c'est déjà ça !
HATEFUL
(Brutal Death Technique) - Promo 2005 - 7/10.
Dans un style un peu plus
grindcore dans l'esprit des parties de batterie et de la durée des titres, avec
un son un peu moins massif que Hellspawn - bien que néanmoins très clair (promo
CD oblige...) - les Italiens de HATEFUL lamineront aussi vos cages à miel avec
leur death metal hyper brutal, assez techniques comme sur les rythmiques du 3ème
titre "Piercing Through Shadows", où les blasts sont légion. Les vocaux sont
plus clairs et le groupe a quand même compris que la linéarité n'était pas une
bonne chose : pas mal de breaks ponctuent leurs compos pour mieux repartir
violemment derrière. Le groupe n'est pas sans me rappeler un Deeds Of Flesh ou
un Spawn Of Possession, gage de qualité là aussi. Seul petti problème pour les
moins initiés d'entre vous : le côté un peu cérébral de ce genre de death
technique et froid, souvent hermétique en live. A vous de juger... En tout cas,
là aussi, 3 titres probants pour découvrir un bon groupe.
IMPUREZA
(Brutal Death Metal) - Démos 2005 & 2006 - 6/10.
Pour clore ce
sympathique split CD, les Français d'IMPUREZA proposent leurs deux dernières
démos, celle de 2006 en premier puis celle de 2005 en bonus. Petite
particularité du groupe : les paroles semblent être toutes en espagnol, bien
qu'avec le timbre de voix très sourd et guttural du chanteur, on ne comprenne
pas grand chose. Du point de vue du son, IMPUREZA est un peu le parent pauvre de
ce split, bien qu'on parvienne sans trop de mal à distinguer les rythmiques
brutales du groupe, même sur les titres de 2005, où le son de batterie est un
peu bizarre. Côté musique, c'est la course à la brutalité du début à la fin avec
des blasts à gogo, mais heureusement, certains mid tempos propices au
headbanging (comme sur "Y Corre Tu Sangre") viennent aérer ce mur de violence
pure. En tout cas, le groupe montre sur ces 7 titres de bonnes dispositions mais
on a un peu plus de mal à rentrer dans ses compos, certainement par manque
d'originalité.
Conclusion : comme souvent, un 3-ways Split CD permet de
se faire une idée assez bonne du potentiel des groupes, par comparaison avec les
autres. A ce petit jeu-là, c'est HELLSPAWN qui remporte la palme en ce qui me
concerne, talonné de très peu par HATEFUL. Autre chose : ce split CD est proposé
avec une jaquette pro en noir et blanc, sur CD-r et on ne saurait vous
conseiller de le commander auprès de Gab si comme lui, vous êtes en quête de
tout ce qui sort dans l'underground profond...
NUCLEAR
ABOMINATIONS Webzine (Ita)
This is a 3 way
split that contains demo tracks from three band: one from Poland,
one from Italy, one from France. The name of the album is commposed
by three words, one for each language the bands speak. There is
a solid thread that links the three bands as all three play skillful
Death Metal that has no ties to the American scene but is neither
devoid of brutality. Let's say the brutality in Hellspawn comes
from speed, a drumming which recalls a bit of late Morbid Angel,
and a classic approach to the songs. I like the fact that the structure
themselves are taken straight from the early nineties, if Death
Metal developed differently we might probably get soemthing akin
this. I'd dare to throw in the names of Yattering, Decapitated and
Behemoth but since these are three Polish band my words might be
taken as cheap and inimaginative so think of Necroblaspheme and
7th Child as well! This is classic Death Metal, brutal but not in
modern terms, with a good load of solos, guitar twists and a nice
Morbid Angel riminiscence (drumwork first, guitar sound second).
Vocals could have a bit more impact, if I have to find a flaw. The
packaging is very simple, and I am not really loving the cover picture
(dried leaves? What the..?) but generally you have a black and white
contrast which is real nice. It's a pity the inner side of the cover
is a bit faded, a cripser black would have ruled totally. If one
likes Death Metal but is bothered by the race for the biggest pants
and the moshier riffs of American DM this is a fucking great choice.
A superior level band here
Hateful comes
from my city, but honestly I have never been overiMpressed by their
previous works. Seems as if they were circling around the perfect
chemistry in songwriting for years, with even some moments of distraction
due to various line up glitches that culminated in forgettable side-projects.
Anyway, color me impressed this time becouse the opening track is
a fucking blast! The songs are surgically precise, with a work behind
the drumkit which is really not just imposing but also so meticolous
it splits the second. The band of referral here might be definitely
Hate Eternal, so here I can cite the same words I wrote for Hellspawn,
this is a brutal concoction of Death and Metal but far from the
American clichès. I still tend to like the fastest parts better,
as the vocals are not very deep and they just seem to fit perfectly
the music when it blurs: my opinion is that the mid-tempo bridges
(as in the first 40-50 seconds of track 8) could be definitely be
either omitted or perfectioned. IIRC, the band name Hateful is a
homage to the song "Blood on My hands": "Hateful
seed inside me, Scald my mind of all but truth...".
Impureza is maybe
the more chaotic of the three, but we're still taling about Death
Metal that has some toeholds in the Florida scene of early '90,
plus some inevitable elements of today's musical world, such as
superior skill, superior recording, more complexity etc. The vocals
here are the most versatile of the three bands, the double vocal
effect is lovely, and the use of Spanish language is a amazing turn
on, it gives the music a vaguely satanic feel but it might be just
my memories of the time when I was listening to Brujeria's "Matando
Gueros", can't tell if it makes the same effect to everybody
eh. I really like them, but the high screams have to be removed,
utterly useless. Guitarwork here is top level as in the other two
bands... Holy shit I really can't decide which one I like better.
There is a coherence between the lines of these seven songs, if
you concentrate well on these riffs, but the whole impression if
that of a grand, orchestral texture of primeval chaos. In the end
I would probably give my preference to Impureza of all the three.
PASSION
ROCK Zine (Fra)
Ah, une nouvelle
production signée Nihilistic Holocaust , ça faisait longtemps. Cette
fois ci, ce nouveau cd nous propose trois groupes de toute l’Europe,
puisque Hellspawn sont polonais (oui, je sais, ça présage du tout
bon), Hateful italiens et Impureza français. Un seul point commun
: la qualité. Le meilleur est à mon avis ce que nous proposent les
mecs de Hellspawn : cinq titres redoutables à la production parfaite.
On pouvait s’y attendre, le nom du groupe n’est pas choisi au hasard,
et une forte influence Morbid Angel est présente au niveau des structures,
mais en beaucoup plus violent. C’est en fait un croisement entre
les derniers Morbid angel et Krisiun . Ici, c’est la pédale au plancher,
les blasts sont dans la lignée de ceux des brésiliens, le tout couvert
par un chant bien grave. Une technique parfaite pour cinq morceaux
tout simplement excellents, tirés de leur démo de 2005. Une révélation,
j’adore. Hateful ont eux un son bien plus roots et crade, même si
ça reste parfaitement audible, pour un death métal tout aussi violent,
mais plus technique. Changement de tempos, variations en tout genre,
c’est un peu le genre proposé par la grosse mouvance américaine
actuelle du type Hate Eternal. Le groupe n’a pas encore rejoint
la qualité de ses models, mais ces trois morceaux ont tout pour
exciter le fan de death le plus difficile. Ce sont les français
de Impureza qui ferment la marche avec là encore un death ravageur
techniquement irréprochable qui défoncent l’auditeur le long de
ces sept titres à l’influence old school plus marquée. S’il y a
bien une constante sur ce split cd, c’est le niveau des membres
des groupes, les musiciens ont tous un putain de potentiel techniquement
parlant. Impureza propose un musique un poil plus variée, puisque
des passages plus lents sont disséminés au détour de blasts furieux,
ainsi que de courts passages acoustiques traditionnels. Très bien
fait, même si je préfère le coté plus rentre dedans des deux premières
formations (c’est bien le problème des splits, on est obligé de
comparer les formations entre elles). Une chose est certaine, chaque
groupe présent ici a les arguments pour exploser sur la scène internationale,
bravo encore à Gab de Nihilistic pour avoir trouver ces perles.

PAVILLON
666 Webzine (Fra)
Nihilistic Holocaust est un petit label à la limite de
l’incognito total, qui pour le plus grand plaisir des amateurs de métal extrême,
enregistre des groupes plus brutaux les uns que les autres. Aujourd’hui paraît
un Split album composé de Hellspaw, Hateful et Impureza, groupes venant
respectivement de Pologne, d’Espagne et de France. Bien que chacun de ces combos
pratique le death à sa manière, la violence est commune.
Hellspawn ouvre
le bal avec un savoir faire assez phénoménal. Ses compositions sont extrêmement
carrées, les riffs brutaux et accrocheurs s’alternent avec aisance. La batterie
n’est qu’un blast permanent, et le chant est guttural au point de faire pâlir
Chris Barnes en personne. Les aspects positifs sont ces sonorités à la Morbid
Angel, notamment les soli de guitares, rapides et déstructurés. Bref Hellspawn
satisfera les fans de death old-school. Avis aux amateurs de Vader…
Les
Italiens de Hateful prennent le relais, le son est déjà plus sec et des
influences Thrash et grind se font sentir. Les riffs semblent parfois être
inspirés directement de Slayer et la longueur des morceaux n’excède pas les deux
minutes. Malgrè de très bonne compositions, on regrette que les espagnols ne
nous aient offert que trois titres. C’est donc au bout de cinq courtes minutes
que l’on doit quitter Hateful.
Bien que Impureza soit français, celui-ci
a opté pour un style dont le maître n’est autre qu’Avulsed, je veux parler du
death associé aux sonorités hispaniques. Impureza pour être plus précis, balance
un brutal death franchement violent contrasté par des mélodies, directement
issues du folklore hispanique. Par exemple leur quatrième titre possède une
intro Flamenco sublime, puis les instruments s’électrifient et la tradition du
death métal reprend le dessus. Les sept titres délivrés par Impureza sont
réellement monstrueux et sont ceux qui se détachent le plus de ce Split ; comme
quoi l’on peut pratiquer le death et être original.
En conclusion
'Tworzenia, resurrezione, démence' s’avère être un split vraiment sympathique,
qui a la qualité de faire découvrir trois bons groupes de death métal. Le son,
certe, laisse parfois à désirer (en particulier la caisse claire de Impureza)
mais le niveau des compositions rattrape tout. Que les amateurs de Morbid Angel,
Nile ou Avulsed n’hésitent pas à se procurer cet album. 8,5/10

Der Gab von Nihilistic Holocaust aus Frankreich ist ein ehrenwerter
Verfechter der Undergroundszene, besonders der Death Metal Undergroundszene und
so bringt er hin und wieder etwas raus und auch dieses Mal lohnt es sich echt
wieder . Jeder Death Metal Fan kann bei dieser 3 Way Split blind zuschlagen. Los
geht es mit "Hellspawn". Die Burschen stammen aus Polen und machen eine Mischung
aus Morbid Angellastigen FDeath Metal und der brasilianischen Speedszene.
Schneller und brutaler Death Metal klingt hier aus den Boxen. Sehr angenehm mit
richtig fetten tiefen Vocals. Nicht wiklich neu und originell,aber richtig
brutal und für mich ansprechend. Hier und da hört man ein Solo, welches der olle
Azagthoth nicht hätte besser spielen können. Stakkato Riffing und schnelle
Double Bass Attacken machen diese Band aus.Auf ihrer Page könnt ihr zwei Songs
downloaden ( www.hellspawn.mwtal.pl) In der Mitte entspringt ein Fluß und in
dieser Mitte hier befindet sich:"Hateful". Pizza und Spaghetti werden dort
konsumiert. Italien, genau. Aus diesem sonnigen Land stammen diese Jungense,
aber von der Sonne scheinen sie nicht viel abzubekommen, denn viel zu düster ist
ihre Mucke. Auch sie spielen brutalen Death Metal, allerdings längst nicht so
direkt wie "Hellspawn". Schnell und technisch geht es hier zu Werke. Viele
Breaks und manchmal verlieren sie sich im Detail, aber ansonsten gibt es auch
hier das volle Brett. Leider werden nur drei Songs angeboten. Schaut mal auf
www.hateful.info nach. Last but not least:" Impureza". Die Band stammt aus
Frankreich und singt glaube ich auf spanisch. Stört mich eher weniger, mir kommt
es da hauptsächlich auf die Mucke an. Und das ist was feines. Technisch
anspruchsvoller Brutal Death metal, ohne den roten Faden zu verlieren. Wurden
sicherlich ein wenig von Nile beeinflusst, ohne dabei jetzt an diese
wahnsinnigen Amis heranzukommen. Viele Blasts, viele Breaks.Zwischendurch wird
mal eine Flamencogitarre eingebaut. wie geil ist das denn? Gefällt mir, das
Zeug. Das Demo aus dem Jahre 2006 und 3 Bonustracks aus 2005 werden angeboten.
Nett, wirklich. Ein Blick auf www.impureza.fr.fm wird sich lohnen. Fazit: Geile
Split, die sich jeder Death Metal Anhänger zulegen sollte!

Jest to split trzech kapel: Polskiego Hellspawn, Włoskiego Hateful i
Francuskiego Impureza. Rodacy umieścili tu 5 kawałków, a muzyka jaką się
zajmują, to jebany death metal z klimatem podchodzącym pod gore (to przez te
wokale- czyta bulgoty). Co więcej można powiedzieć o ich nagraniach? A to, że
mimo gatunku jaki wybrali, ich muzyka jest naprawdę wpadająca w ucho (jest tu
zajebiście dużo melodii, a kawałki nie opierają się na ciągłym waleniu w
werbel). Po prostu ostra jazda od pierwszego do ostatniego utworu. Następni są
makaroniarze z Hateful. Na tym splicie umieścili tylko trzy nie za dobrze
nagrane utwory. Grają szybki (mniej ciężki niż polacy) death metal. Całkiem nie
przyjemnie się tego słucha (jakbym napisał że przyjemnie, to znaczyło by że
grają coś między Mozartem a Chopinem). To są trzy kopiące w dupę kawałki, ale
osobiście wolę cięższe gitary (a może to przez brzmienie wydaje mi się że gitary
są za lekkie, nie wiem, chuj z tym i tak jest pięknie!!!). No i na koniec
mineciarze z Impureza. Ci wwalili najwięcej, bo aż (a może tylko) siedem
utworów. Goście grają szybki, ostry death metal. To co mi się u nich podoba to
wokal i przeogromna zmiana temp, naprawdę świetna kapela. I co mnie zadziwiło,
to użycie przez nich ojczystego języka wcale nie razi, a nawet jest całkiem
fajne (przypomina mi to trochę brujerije, taki pokorbiony klimat). Płytka jest
warta zdobycia. Obym częściej dostawał takie materiały.
Przyznam punkty
wszystkim razem. A będzie ich jakieś 5,5. Podoba mi się to!!! W sklepach nie
znajdziecie takiej muzyki.

HELLSPAWN from Poland play some IMMOLATION inspired twisted melodies
in their death metal formula where also MORBID ANGEL and GRAVE take
their place.The 5 songs they have in this split come from their
Demo 2005.A notable release and to my opinion an upcoming band.Keep
their name in mind.HATEFUL from Italy gave here 3 songs out of their
Promo 2005.It is obvious they are into SUFFOCATION/CANNIBAL CORPSE/DEICIDE
stuffs.The sound is rather poor,but perfectionists don ’t listen
to death metal anyway.The French band IMPUREZA include both their
demos 2006 and 2005 (as a bonus).The demo 2005 though it has a poorer
sound is closer to what I would like to listen from them.IMPUREZA
brought to mind SouthAmerican bands of unholy and impure death metal.You
surely have to listen this split and once again conratulations to
Gab for finding,collecting and eleasing such great stuffs!

Ritorna l'ottima etichetta ultra-underground francese Nihilistic Holocaust, con
un'uscita nuova di zecca! Si tratta di uno split a tre che vede impegnati i
polacchi Hellspawn, gli italiani Hateful ed i francesi Impureza. Il titolo
dell'album, "Tworzenia, Resurrezione, Démence" , è costituito da tre parole,
ognuna delle quali nella lingua madre di uno dei gruppi. La copertina, in bianco
e nero, è decorata dalla foto di alcune foglie secche. Il libretto è di quattro
pagine, contenenti varie informazioni relative ai gruppi. Nell'ultima pagina vi
è un ritratto di Mozart, con una mano che le afferra il viso, ficcandogli le
dita negli occhi. Sopra, è stampata una dichiarazione d'intenti che non lascia
dubbi: "Support The Killing Of Melodies". Beh, una frase del genere lascia
intendere molto sulla natura della musica di questo split!
Ad aprire il
massacro ci pensano i polacchi Hellspawn. "Hypocrisy" mette in mostra un sound
pesantissimo, con battute in mid-tempo che presto si trasformano in un
violentissimo assalto brutal. Il growling del cantante proviene dall'oltretomba;
il riffing delle chitarre è serratissimo. La sezione ritmica è irrefrenabile: la
batteria, in particolare, ha il piede perennemente pigiato sull'acceleratore.
Talvolta, come da regola in questo genere musicale, il ritmo rallenta. Cambi di
riff e di tempo si susseguono con una certa frequenza. Nonostante la
dichiarazione d'intenti, comunque, un minimo di melodia è presente.
Neanche
il tempo di rifiatare, ed ecco partire la seguente "Legion", più arrembante e
veloce della precedente. La qualità di registrazione è buona, e permette
all'ascoltatore di intuire bene le parti dei vari strumenti. Si può così
constatare la preparazione tecnica degli Hellspawn, l'ennesimo gruppo polacco di
valore. L'estrema oscurità del loro suono porta alla mente le angoscianti
sonorità degli Immolation.
"Antimary" è una traccia ostica, tecnica e
d'impatto. La potenzialità atmosferica delle due composizioni che l'hanno
preceduta, è un po' dispersa dal vorticare di note di chitarre e basso. Gli
assoli sono esclusivamente atonali. Bello comunque il rifferama severo ed
ostile.
"Velvet Sashes Of Voices" è sulla media delle tracce precedenti, con
una sezione ritmica in gran spolvero. A momenti martellante e ultraveloce, in
altri episodi soffocante e pesantissima. Questo quartetto ci sa fare col death
metal, è inutile star lì. Sono molto derivativi, su questo poco ci piove. Ma è
chiaro che i fan degli Immolation non potranno che gradire la loro musica.
Certo, forse un po' più di personalità sarebbe importante per ritagliarsi uno
spazio significativo all'interno dell'affollata scena death metal. Credo però
che i musicisti pensino soltanto a suonare la musica che amano,
indipendentemente dal fatto che sia originale o meno.
A concludere la loro
parte di split, "Voices Of Damnation". Non è un brano velocissimo, ma è vitale e
pieno di verve. Veramente belli i lunghi accordi sghembi, sorretti da un
blastbeat furioso da parte della batteria. Il riff principale ha un qualcosa di
orientaleggiante.
Bravi Hellspawn. Mi è piaciuta la loro precisione.
Inoltre, le loro composizioni sono tutte piuttosto brevi; pure nella mutevolezza
della loro struttura, riescono a mantenere l'equilibrio sotto controllo. Un
primo passo verso la maturità.
Passiamo ora agli italiani Hateful, non
proprio degli esordienti visto che si sono formati nel 1997. "Ravenous" è un
assalto all'arma bianca, suonato bene ma meno potente, come produzione, rispetto
ai polacchi. Il riffing è violento e nervoso, soprattutto quando è sorretto da
una batteria vorticosa. Il growling è devastato. In genere l'esecuzione è molto
veloce, anche se a metà il brano rallenta un po'.
"Built On Nothingness" è
una traccia piuttosto corta, suonata con criterio e violenza. La melodia è
assolutamente bandita dall'universo sonoro degli Hateful, forse più estremi dei
precedenti Hellspawn. Il loro songwriting comunica negatività, ed è dotato di
una certa essenzialità.
"Piercing Through Shadows" conclude la breve
parentesi del gruppo tricolore, ed un po' mi dispiace. Neanche il tempo di
abituarmi, ed è già ora di passare ad un altro gruppo... Anche questa traccia,
cattiva come al solito, non fa altro che confermare la bontà di questo gruppo.
Certo, una qualità di registrazione migliore, più potente, non avrebbe guastato.
Anzi, avrebbe sottolineato la potenza esecutiva di questi modenesi.
Gli
Impureza sono francesi, ma dati i titoli delle loro canzoni ed i nomi dei
musicisti, penso che siano di origine spagnola, o che siano ubicati ai confini
con i Pirenei. O forse si tratta solo di nomi d'arte e di uno sfizio, quello di
scrivere testi in spagnolo. Sia come sia, la loro prima canzone si intitola "La
Luz De La Luna Negra". Molto aggressivi, sostenuti da una produzione marcia e
cupa, gli Impureza si distinguono per un riffing orientaleggiante. Molto
interessanti le varie scelte ritmiche, l'alternarsi isterico tra note e pause, e
la struttura complessiva della canzone. Tra l'altro, con i suoi cinque minuti e
mezzo, vince il premio di canzone più lunga dello split. Da segnalare anche una
breve sezione con chitarre acustiche spagnoleggianti. I richiami al flamenco e
ad altri stili musicali ispanici rendono peculiare la proposta musicale di
questa band. Una ventata di originalità in una scena musicale forse un po'
ripetitiva! Bravi!
"El Predicator" prosegue sulla medesima linea della
traccia che l'ha preceduta, in maniera più stringata. Talvolta gli inserti
influenzati dalla musica spagnola potrebbero ricordare qualcosa di orientale. E'
un impressione apparente. E' comunque probabile che chi apprezzi i Nile possa
apprezzare anche questi Impureza. Tra le due band, comunque, le differenze
stilistica e tecnica sono abissali. Resta comunque un brano violentissimo,
dall'ascolto piacevole.
"Las Colinas De Los Crucificados Sin Cabezas" è una
canzone fangosa, negativa come non mai. Rispetto agli altri due gruppi dello
split, gli Impureza sono i meno inquietanti, ma i più malati. Il suono è sporco,
sebbene l'esecuzione sia precisa. C'è un senso di malvagità latente in ogni
nota, che ricrea bene i temi macabri tanto cari al gruppo. Lo stesso growling
del cantante è gorgogliante, catarroso. Insomma, un gruppo per menti perverse!
Un flamenco suonato da chitarre acustiche, apre "La Checa Del Perverso". La
traccia si rivela, in seguito, violenta e pesante come al solito. Sempre come da
copione, sezioni ultraveloci si alternano ad altre più cadenzate. Il continuo
utilizzo di inserti acustici porta questa traccia molto vicina a "La Luz De La
Luna Negra".
A seguire tre bonus track, tutte degli Impureza, tratte dal
loro demo del 2005. La qualità di registrazione è pulita ma meno potente ed
efficace della precedente. "Y Corre Tu Sangre" non è molto diversa,
stilisticamente, rispetto a quanto ascoltato prima. La musica è come al solito
intransigente, ad esclusione di qualche brevissimo spunto melodico.
Dopo una
versione alternativa di "La Checa Del Perverso", il CD-R si conclude con
"Enganifa Religiosa", l'ennesimo bagno di sangue in salsa brutal.
Bene,
direi che anche questa volta la Nihilistic Holocaust ha visto giusto! Tre gruppi
underground con tre proposte musicali diverse, ma sempre legate al death metal
più tradizionale. Gli Impureza cercano più degli altri due una formula
espressiva personale, per questo motivo li considero come quelli dalle idee più
interessanti. Certo che, comunque, anche gli Hellspawn e gli Hateful riescono a
dire la loro con energia e qualità, ma con uno stile più simile allo standard
classico del death metal. Secondo me, è inutile far classifiche su chi abbia
suonato meglio e chi peggio. Questo split è apprezzabile nella sua interezza, e
ne consiglio l'acquisto. Pensate che il prezzo è di soli 5 euro per chi non vive
in Francia! Una miseria!
Dunque, comprate questo CD-R e, se voleste,
visitate il catalogo della Nihilistic Holocaust perché è ricco di offerte
interessanti.

OF ETERNAL WAR Webzine (Ger)
Neues von dem französischen Label Nihilistic Holocaust ist bei mir immer
willkommen. Warum? Ganz einfach: Das Label von Gab hat mich bisher noch nicht
enttäuscht mit seinen Veröffentlichungen (bis auf ein, zwei Bands), da man meist
immer absolut geilen old school Metal zu hören bekommt.
Und so ist es auch
wieder bei dem neuesten Release, das eine Split- Veröffentlichung aus 3 genialen
Death Metal- Horden ist, die unter dem Motto "Support The Killing Of Melodies"
alles nieder knüppeln und das auch noch in einem geilem old school Metal-
Soundgewand!
Los geht es mit den aus Polen stammenden HELLSPAWN. Gegründet
wurde die sehr gute Gruppe im Jahr 2003 und ist mit 5 kompromisslosen
Killersongs auf der Split vertreten. Die Songs stammen von ihrem Demo das 2005
veröffentlicht wurde. Die Songs sind wirklich einsame Spitze. Stark schimmert
hier ein MORBID ANGEL- Einfluss bei der Musik von HELLSPAWN durch. Aber das
macht gar nichts. Eher verleiht es den brutalen und schnellen Liedern ein
gewisses old school- Feeling, das einfach nur übelst genial daher kommt. Die
Stimme ist um einiges heftiger und Tiefer als bei MORBID ANGEL, so das man auf
keinen Fall den Sound der Death Metal- Götter kopiert hat, sondern sich
offensichtlich nur davon inspirieren ließ, denn eigenständig klingt die Musik
von HELLSPAWN auf jeden Fall. Beide Daumen hoch für die Deather aus
Polen.
Weiter geht es mit HATEFUL aus Italien. Diese Gruppe zelebriert
feinsten Todesmetall der alten Schule. Schnell, brutal und dreckig. Die Band
gibt es schon seit 1997 aber man hat erst im Jahr 2000 das Demo "After The Last
Breath" veröffentlicht, das sich wohl auch auf dieser Split befindet, da die
Jungs offensichtlich auch bisher noch nichts weiter heraus gebracht haben.
Schade eigentlich, denn die drei Songs killen ohne Ende, und dürften so ziemlich
jedem Death Metal- Freak zusagen der anständigen Todesmetall hört. Kann man nur
hoffen das die Jungs bald mal wieder neues aufnehmen!
Den Abschluss macht
dann eine französische Gruppe namens IMPUREZA. Zwar gibt es eine Bandhomepage,
doch weil es darauf recht wenig Informationen gibt, werde ich gleich zum Sound
kommen. Dieser ist recht ordentlich und knallt auch old school- mäßig aus den
Boxen. Der Klang ist eigenwillig und besteht aus schnellen Riffgewittern, wirren
Solos und ab und zu auftretenden Rhythmen, die das Ganze ein wenig auflockern.
Also spezielle Songstrukturen erkennt man hier nicht wirklich, aber das stört
mich absolut gar nicht, da ich auch auf so chaotisches Metzel- Zeug stehe. Die
Stimme ist nicht all zu tief hört sich aber einfach nur genial an und passt
perfekt zum Sound. Die drei Bonus- Songs von dem Demo das 2005 veröffentlicht
wurde, hören sich da schon ganz anders an. Hier gibt es fetten old school Death
Metal der Marke INCANTATION. Ich frage mich wieso man den Stil geändert hat, da
mir die Demo- Aufnahmen noch besser gefallen.
Fazit: Die Split sei jedem
Death Metal- Jünger ans Herz gelegt der auf der Suche nach neuen Todesmetall-
Horden ist.
SUPREME
BRUTALITY Webzine (Den)
This is a three way split CD from French underground label Nihilistic Holocaust.
I'm not exactly sure whether it's been pressed professionally or it's just
released as a CDR. Anyway the music this time come from Polish Hellspawn,
Italian Hateful and French Impureza. The common thing for all
three bands is that they play death metal and that all tracks are taken from
their demos so if you've heard them elsewhere before it's not that odd.
Hellspawn sound typical Polish. The band appear to be inspired by
Behemoth and Morbid Angel which definitely isn't the worst
cocktail. The music may lack a lot with regards to originality, but the songs
are skilfully writing so I don't find this problematic. The production is very
good for a demo and it logically lifts the music. Next up is Hateful who
play technical death metal. The music reminds me a little of Floridian deathers
Monstrosity. It's definitely not bad, but there's room for improvement
and particularly the production sounds thin. Three short songs are not enough to
proper judge the band, but it sounds like they are skilled. Last, but not least
is Impureza.The Frenchmen play rather filthy death metal. The lyrics are
in Spanish, which there is nothing new and original about, but the band clearly
tries to do their own thing by adding a bit of flamenco-like instrumentation in
"La Checa Del Perverso". I wouldn't say they succeed 100%, but they do manage to
provide the music with a bit of identity though it's not much. The production is
not that good. A better sound would probably have made the music a little more
interesting, but as I wrote above all music comes of demos so having this in
mind things could have been a lot worse than they are.

Wow, great death metal split. Don't know which band I
like the most. For sure technicism and brutality are all over on this split. If
you're into the death metal scene you should have this split. For a long time
that I didn't hear such a good death metal split as this one. Hail to Nihilistic
Holocaust for putting together this 3 great bands. Support the killing
melodies!!!

POSTMAN Fanzine (Spa)
The only recording
up to the date of the Poles HELLSPAWN is a demo of 5 tracks that
they have managed to edit in South America with Infernal Overkill
Prod and also to insert in this Split CD together with the Italians
HATEFUL and the French IMPURITY. Well, HELLSPAWN offer a set of
human depravity, shredded insanity employing a sick sound based
around a continual barrage of down tuned riffs and blasting
drums, really interesting band!!! Hateful was formed in 1997 and
they have featured their Demo on this Split CD as well. Really they
are one of the most revered new acts that I have listened lately.
HATEFUL administer a deft fusion of speed, presicion and ferocity
with a sleek combination of metallic Hard Core and a brilliant production.
It is curious that IMPURITY are settled down in France but his lyrics
are written in Castilian, it is clear that the members of the band
are of Hispanic origin. Anyway they fused in crossover a collection
of Thrash and Death Metal riffs with ambience and atmosphere… great
guitar and drums work, they are a band instrumentally perfect! This
SPLIT CD is totally recommend for you… get it!

Metal areas. Let’s see what they have on offer:
HELLSPAWN
hail from Poland
and deliver a full tour de force of technical Death Metal, somewhere between
MORBID ANGEL, BEHEMOTH and DEICIDE with super deep vocals. The 5 well produced
songs are an impressive legacy, which makes you want a lot more.
HATEFUL
from Italy
can’t fully compete with that and offer three songs of Thrashy Death.
Technically the guys are very much up to par, but the production is their main
problem. But they already left a very mean impression.
At the end some extreme stuff
from France with IMPUREZA. They are a
bit simpler, but hellishly brutal and even utilize some Flamenco parts. They
even have two demos on this one, with the older one of course not having as
strong of a sound. But the whole thing has power and conviction, so that no real
headbanger can sit still. Conclusion: A very interesting split sampler for all
genre freaks, which also want to give the underground a chance. Especially
Nihilistic has a lot of high quality underground stuff at very fair prices!

G z NIHILICTIC HOLOCAUST uderza kolejnym podziemnym
wydawnictwem i przyznam, iż bardzo podziwiam upór i zaangażowanie tego kolesia w
promowanie malutkich, podziemnych hord… Oczywiście nie wszystko, co ukazuje się
pod szyldem NH jest godne najwyższego zainteresowania, ale grunt, iż pomaga to
zespołom, a często dobrze jest mieć te tytuły dla zwykłych celów
kolekcjonerskich… Tym razem Gab zebrał 3 death metalowe bandy, by zjednoczyć je
i wydać na jednym CDR-rze (z drukowaną, ale skromną – jak zwykle – okładką). Dla
nas wydawnictwo to jest o tyle ciekawe, iż otwiera je polski HELLSPAWN, którego
notabene wcześniej nie znałem. No to posłuchałem sobie ich materiał, pochodzący
z demo 2005… I jakoś wielkiego wrażenia on nie zrobił na mnie. Co prawda
HELLSPAWN gra solidny i na tzw. “poziomie” stuff, ale nie sikam jakoś podczas
jego słuchania. Sporo tu riffów, które brzmią, jakby były zapożyczone z
BEHEMOTH, jednak podstawa HELLSPAWN to siarczysty i maksymalnie szybki death
metal z Ameryki (skojarzenia z MORBID ANGEL, IMMOLATION??? Jak najbardziej!), z
brutalnym, zbasowanym brzmieniem i gardłowym, nieludzkim growlem (w sumie to
przypomina mi to także holenderski SINISTER). Oj, szybko to tu jest, ale równie
dobrze zespól czuje się w średnich tempach, często częstując słuchacza również
takowymi, przy tym nieco bardziej technicznymi przerywnikami (które nie zawsze
brzmią dobrze, moim zdaniem). Ogólnie to muzyka HELLSPAWN jest nieskomplikowana
i mało odkrywcza. Nie mówię, iż źle się jej słucha, bo daje to jakiegoś kopa i
nawet przyjemnie wali w pysk, niemniej nie sądzę, by był to materiał zdolny
wywindować zespół do czołówki polskiego death metalowego napierdu. Po prostu
czegoś mi tu brakuje, a przy tym nieco zalatuje tu zwykłą nudą. Cóż, jeśli
HELLSPAWN nie zrobił na mnie najbardziej piorunującego wrażenia, to może kolejny
band będzie lepszy? HATEFUL także napierdala szybko jak maszyna, również robi to
w amerykańskim stylu, ale nieco inaczej. Mnóstwo tu agresji, brutalności,
energii, ale kawałki są bardzo krótkie, przez co sprawiają wrażenie szybkich,
skomasowanych ataków! Ktoś mógłby powiedzieć, iż numery, które trwają półtora
minuty za wiele do powiedzenia nie mają i może to i prawda, ale kurcze jakoś
przyjemnie ten cały HATEFUL daje po dupie. Napierdalać chłopaki po prostu
potrafią, nie tracą zwyczajnie czasu na pierdoły, tylko prą do przodu i walczą z
wrogiem o mokre i zawsze chętne białogłowe (haha). Naprawdę podoba mi się to ich
granie, mimo iż nie należy ono do zbyt odkrywczych… No i wreszcie ostatni band,
IMPUREZA. Już raz miałem z nimi do czynienia. I nawet może podobać się ten ich
przepis na death metal, który jest mocno oparty na dokonaniach NILE, MORBID
ANGEL czy IMMOLATION, ale czasem potrafi też i nieźle zaskoczyć, zwłaszcza, gdy

w pierwszym z ich utworów, “La Luz de la la Luna Negra”. Wpierw IMPUREZA
wykurwia szybko, jak diabeł wcielony, by po chwili wrzucić krótki akustyczny
przerywnik i potem znowu dopierdolić. Fajne! Generalnie nieźle chłopaki grają,
solidnie i rzetelnie, pomysłowo i z jajem. Dodatkowego smaczku robią teksty
spisane po hiszpańsku, choć szczerze – kto zrozumie te bulgoty wokalisty? Tak,
czy siak, całkiem zajebista muza, zdecydowanie inspirowana NILE, więc już samo
to mówi wiele. Mi się tam podoba…

Sur ce split CD, on voit s'affronter trois formations issues des profondeurs de
l'Underground européen, trois groupes de Brutal Death surpuissants qui risquent
bien de faire parler d'eux tant ils sont charismatiques, efficaces et
monumentaux.
Ce sont les Polonais de HELLSPAWN qui ouvrent le bal. Cinq
titres de Brutal Death furibard et bien morbide qui n'a qu'un seul but:
écrabouiller son auditeur. Pas besoin de sortir de Polytechnique pour deviner
quelles sont les influences principales de ce groupe: il y a fort à parier pour
que HELLSPAWN ait été bercé par MORBID ANGEL et HATE ETERNAL. Une débauche de
Brutal Death bestial impressionnant de sauvagerie: LA BAFFE! Un batteur déchaîné
qui matraque ses fûts, des gratteux fous qui lacèrent leur musique à grands
coups de riffs majestueux et puissants, qui enveloppent la voix d'outre-tombe
d'un chanteur qui navigue entre MORBID ANGEL (Steve Tucker) et MENTAL
HORROR.
HELLSPAWN décape tout et ne manquera pas de vous réduire la cervelle
en compote! Dès la première écoute on est abasourdi par l'inébranlable puissance
dégagée par ces tueurs!
Au-delà d'une évidente influence MORBID ANGEL, on
voit éclore une touche beaucoup plus originale et personnelle qui fait de
HELLSPAWN l'un des groupes les plus intéressants de la scène Polonaise. La
dernière fois qu'un groupe Polak m'a autant enthousiasmé, c'était lors de la
découverte de LOST SOUL! D'ailleurs en parlant de LOST SOUL, HELLSPAWN bénéficie
d'une prod' similaire à celle de "Screams Of The Mourning Star", ça
avoine!
Amateurs de Brutal Death haineux, morbide et majestueux, ruez-vous
sur HELLSPAWN!
Suite à ce carnage, on découvre trois titres de HATEFUL,
un groupe italien qui s'adonne à un Brutal Death assez technique qui saura
plaire aux fans du CANNIBAL CORPSE époque "Bloothirst" ou des débuts de SEVERE
TORTURE. HATEFUL associe avec un certain panache les éléments du Old School US à
des plans plus modernes de l'Eurodeath. Ainsi, au menu de ces trois titres, on
trouve des breaks à tire-larigot, des passages "presque mélodiques" dignes du
second GODLESS TRUTH et un niveau technique plus que correct. Lorsque HATEFUL
envoie la purée à mort, on pense à EXMORTEM teinté de MONSTROSITY... classique
mais efficace! Pas franchement révolutionnaire mais bougrement
plaisant!
Le troisième groupe de ce split est probablement le meilleur.
IMPUREZA est français mais s'exprime en espagnol (étonnant). Il s'agit d'un
groupe particulièrement excellent qui – je l'espère – s'imposera comme le fer de
lance de la scène Présipale aux côté de DROWNING...
Du Brutal Death Metal qui
prend le meilleur de NILE et de VITAL REMAINS pour l'arranger à sa propre sauce.
IMPUREZA offre une musique époustouflante, travaillée dans ses moindres détails
qui est à la fois élégante, racée et écrasante! La tuerie-qui-tue!
Au fil des
écoutes, on peut être amené à songer au "Stabwound Orgasm" de AVULSED.
D'ailleurs à l'instar du groupe de Dave Rotten, IMPUREZA parvient à mâtiner son
Brutal Death d'éléments plus "hispanisants" qui donnent plus qu'un simple relief
mais bien une véritable aura à ces sept titres. Et les incursions de grattes
sèches rappelleront les envolées les plus épiques de "Forever Underground" de
VITAL REMAINS... grandiose.
L'atmosphère qui se dégage de ces titres est
phénoménale, aussi démoniaque que celle du "Onwards To Golgotha" de INCANTATION.
Cette ambiance "evil" est sans doute exacerbée par les sonorités de la langue de
Cervantès... peut-être... Quoi qu'il en soit IMPUREZA est un putain de groupe!
BUY OR DIE!
La voix est à la croisée des chemins entre celle de Ross Dolan et
celle de Alex Camargo...Une voix bouffie de haine, c'est boulversifiant! Et la
prod' rend hommage à la qualité extraordinaire de cette musique!

tout ce que j'avais à dire à propos de ce split de tueurs! Trois groupes, une
claque, une bonne découverte et une révélation! Le Bon, la Brute et le

Another slab of great
underground Metal presented by Nihilistic Holocaust is what we have here. All
three bands play heavy and fast Death
Metal which owes to both the North American variety akin to newer MORBID ANGEL
as well as Brazilian Speed Death Metal. The first five songs are taken from the
demo 2005 of HELLSPAWN from Poland (actually I first thought this might be the
defunct band of the same name from Brazil). Fast and brutal Death Metal is the
game here, as already hinted at with a solid MORBID ANGEL base, played in a
fericious way which reminds me of bands from South America, some blast passages
let me think of RAVAGER for example. The vocals are deep and a tad bit muffled,
nothing overly original but very appropriate. The riffing gets crowned by some
cool solo runs here and there which are not unlike the chaotic outbursts of Trey
Azagthoth or Gene Palubicki, yet it should be noted that the band does not blast
away exclusively. Heavy parts with fast double bass drumming can be found here
as well as some staccato riffing, nevertheless the overall tempo is fast. Some
minor chord work sounds slightly blackish at parts. Nothing groundbreaking but a

and technical Death Metal with evil breathy midranged vocals and a slight Thrash
note. The arrangements are by far less straight forward than those of HELLSPAWN
but more twisted with little bits of change in the time signature during the
riffs. With plenty of breaks, blasts bridges and lots details this band will
surely appeal to fans of brutal (semi-) technical Metal who can dig acts like
CORONER and IMMOLATION as some of the riffing, rhythms and the incorporation of
disharmonies branch out a little further here. Only three tracks are offered
here – let's hipe there will be some more in the future. www.hateful.info.
IMPUREZA surprised me quite a bit: the band hails from France but sings in
Castillan… of all bands here they sound the most like a South American band
crossed with some NILE influences. But wait – what is this? A Flamenco guitar?
Yes… IMPUREZA incorporate Spanish Flamenco rhythms and scales in their songs and
they do it bloody well without sound the least bit pretentious. This split
contains songs from their demo 2006 as well as three bonus tracks from 2005.
IMPUREZA also play slightly technical as their songs are varied with blasts and
breaks. Some people might have a problem with the Spanish vocals but personally,
I think that this language fits very well with this kind af brutal and heavy
kind of Death Metal.Their homepage offers two tracks to get an impession so go
there. www.impureza.fr.fm. Clearly a collection of demos for fans of dark
underground Death Metal, that strange kind who still buy 7” and tapes, hehe. For
me, this an excellent release – well done!

To begins this 3way SplitCDR, HELLSPAWN comes with the 5 tracks taken from their
Demo 2005. This is for me the very first time to listen to this band, and I
think they’ll get anywhere very soon! These 5 tracks are very good tracks of
Evil Death Metal, in the vein of MORBID ANGEL, CENTURIAN with some touches à la
old KRISIUN! Nothing really original indeed, but this is not what I was looking
for! I was looking for something powerful, energic, brutal and well done! And I
get it! The sound is clear and brutal and the 5 tracks of this Demo 2005 are
just fucking killer!! 2 nd band is HATEFUL, coming with the 3 tracks from their
promo 2005. For me, HATEFUL is maybe the less interesting band… Too much
classical, in the vein of some old SUFFOCATION releases, with some Death Thrash
touches reminding of a lot of releases from the beginning of the 90’s. I think
it’s a bit hard for them to appears after the powerful HELLSPAWN. Not the best
band from the Split for sure. Last band is IMPUREZA, coming with 7 tracks (4
from their Demo 2006 and 3 from their Demo 2005) of a really amazing Brutal
Death Metal!! Musically, the band is into a kind of Brutal death between NILE
and IMMOLATION, with some influences coming from the Flamenco music, with
acoustic guitars and latin riffing melodies! Very professional tracks from
IMPUREZA, with a very powerful sound and some twisted but never chaotic song
structures, and a very good and brutal feeling!! Very interesting SplitCDR,
especially for HELLSPAWN and IMPUREZA, coming with a pro cover!

Here we have the newest
underground assult from NIHILISTIC HOLOCAUST RECORDS
(France). This 3-way split cdr is titled "Tworzenta,Resurrezione,Demence"
and features 3 skull blasting death metal bands! First off I must say that
this is the best looking release to date on this fine D.I.Y. Label. Fully
professional packaging/art work and it comes with a back tray card to make
this cdr look like a "real" cd release to add to your library of unholy
tales!
HELLSPAWN hails from Poland and plays above average death metal that
will make you collapse from getting too dizzy from head banging to hard!
This is if you are a fan of MORBID ANGEL as this band isn't excatley that
original. But this is their demo so this band has all the time in the world
to evolve!
HATEFUL hails from Italy and has been around since 1997. They
submitted 3 tracks taken from their 2005 promo of vein exploding death metal
in the vein of IMMOLATION/DYING FETUS/SUFFOCATION with a slight thrash
feeling. These 3 tracks clock in at 5 and a half minutes! There is so much
intense drumming that they made these 3 songs feel longer then they are and
i'd say that HATEFUL is the most dominant band on this split. Highly
recommended!
IMPUREZA hails from France and they contributed 9 tracks taken
from their 2005 and 2006 demos. Super fast riffing that crushes all
melodies. Some might say that they sound too much like NILE, but after a
couple of listens you will find that IMPUREZA has their own unique style of
extreme death metal. There is some neat Spanish guitar interludes which
provides a interesting tribal touch and also a break from the non-stop
blasting that most death metal bands can bore us with. IMPUREZA will be on a
major label soon enough if they choose to be as they deliver the death metal
goods hard enough to resurrect the fucking dead!

Après la split Tape de qualité Obscure Infinity

(Nihilistic a ressorti des trucs depuis, mais j'n'étais pas au courant),
voici Tworzenia, resurrezione, démence , le nouveau split bien
nommé de ce bienfaiteur cinglé de Gab...
L'artwork est bien meilleur que les réalisations précédentes de
Nihilistic, même si à mon sens il ne colle pas avec le
contenu...
HELLSPAWN:
« Avec un tel nom, si ces polonais ne sont
pas fans de Morbid Angel »... Bingo!! Mais attention, là ou pléthore de groupes
se contentent de copier sans y mettre l'identité et la rage, Hellspawn joue sur
la qualité des riffs. L'esprit Morbid est bien présent, tant par la qualité des
riffs à la « Formulas » qu'à la précision des solis. La batterie est réellement
impressionnante. Dès qu'on sait qu'un groupe est polonais, on se dit souvent «
ça va être du Vader, du Decapitated, du Lost Soul, voire du Behemoth... » Et
bien non; 5 titres de qualité que les uns pourraient qualifier de « sous
Morbidiens ». Perso, je trouve que c'est excellent. C'est malsain et brutal,
juste comme il faut. HATEFUL:
Le son est beaucoup plus polonais à
présent ! Pourtant ce groupe est italien, là ou on pourrait s'attendre a du heavy ou du black... Quand je dis « polonais »,
je pense au premier Vader, pas au dernier Behemoth, entendons nous bien. Le
batteur est vraiment exceptionnel, d'une
grande rapidité et d'un feeling hors du commun. J'éprouve un sentiment
bizarre de « déjà entendu » sans pouvoir mettre de référence principale. C'est
peut être une qualité, mais le fait est que c'est le groupe sur lequel
j'accroche le moins, malgré tout. Il y aurait du Immolation là dedans? Je ne
vois pas... Mais ça reste cool.
IMPUREZA : C'est la bonne surprise de ce split à mon humble avis... Même s'il paraît
impossible de ne pas les assimiler a Nile, tant l'atmosphère froide est
tangible. On se croirait aux fins fonds d'une crypte dans les bas fonds d'une
pyramide... C'est brutal de chez brutal. Il y a quelques relents de black dans
les riffs, mais ca bastonne bien. Encore un batteur de très bonne
stature. Les riffs sont efficaces, bien pensés et s'enchaînent à
merveille. J'ai écouté leur derniere démo, elle est de la même trempe (je dis ca
pour ceux que ça intéresse!). Ils jouent très bien sur l'effet guitare sèche, ce
qui n'est pas donné à tous... Le brutal français est présent et l'a toujours
été, quoi qu'on en pense... Impureza en est la preuve.
Un split de très bonne qualité donc, avec
3 groupes plus que crédibles. Efficaces dans leur style. Mention spéciale à
Impureza, vous l'aurez compris, mais chacun voit minuit à sa porte
(héhé).
